Overview

It's a coin collector's dream folder, with a space for every state's newly designed

When Congress passed the "50 States Commemorative Coin Program Act" in 1997, which led to the creation of quarters honoring every state in the union, its members especially hoped that young people and their families would collect these memorable tokens. This handy folder will help youngsters realize that goal and hold onto these special keepsakes, which are being released over ten years in the order in which the states ratified the Constitution. In addition to the slots for the quarters, kids will find a description of the Commemorative Coin Program; a history of the United States Quarter Dollar; a list of state capitals, nicknames, mottoes, and more; details on how the 50 designs were chosen; and an account of how coins are manufactured by the U.S. Mint and distributed by the Federal Reserve Bank.

    good product for the price

the book itself is very well constructed - solid, not flimsy. it's set up when the coins came into circulation, not alphabetical. the only negative comment would be that we had no idea that both the philadelphia and denver mints are included for a total of 100 quarters - two for each state. we would have rather just have 50 not matter what the mint.

This is what I was looking for

I had been looking for the perfect holder for my child's state quarter coin collection, I had purchased one previously that didn't have both Denver and Philadelphia slots. This one is perfect. I want to buy another one for my second child.

    more from this reviewer

    Fun and Simple!

This book is great for those collecting the state quarters and want to have a nice display for them. It's fun to go through the quarters you have collected, or ones you're missing. Also, taking notice to which mint they came from and it's so simple to place them in the book. Also, the book comes with a lot of neat information about the quarters and the US mint history. This would be good for coin collectors young and old. I gave this my sister and she loved it, so it a good gift idea.

    The Best Book

I bought a similar one from Barnes about 2 years ago and use it for my collection. It is the perfect one. I love the facts listed with book. This is a must for my fellow coin collectors.

    Quarters fall out!!!

I purchased three folders last week at my local store to organize my collection. After inserting the quarters in the first folder and closed it the quarters fell out. Tried the other two folders with the same results. The slots are a hair to big for the quarters. Will be returning them today.
