Russ Kick has proved himself a master at uncovering facts that "they" would prefer you never hear about. The rapid success of the large-format Disinformation Guide series edited by Kick has only whetted a roaring public appetite for more revelations about government cover-ups, scientific scams, corporate crimes, medical malfeasance, historical whitewashes, media manipulation, and other knock-your-socks-off secrets and lies.

This CD-sized book packs a powerful punch in a small, attractive package intended for impulse and gift purchases, as well as serving as a handy reference book. Among Kick's amazing discoveries, all thoroughly documented:

  • The first genetically modified humans have already been born.
  • Hitler's blood relatives are living in the U.S.
  • The CIA commits over 100,000 serious crimes per year.
  • The U.S. planned to explode an atomic bomb on the moon.
  • An atomic bomb was dropped on North Carolina.
  • The main hero of the movie Black Hawk Down is a convicted child molester.
  • The discoverer of HIV no longer believes the virus is the sole cause of AIDS.
  • Kent State wasn't the only massacre of U.S. college students during the Vietnam era.
  • Lincoln didn't free any slaves.

A uniquely valuable tool to debunk modern mythology and the people and institutions serving it up.

    A reviewer

Judging from the types of people reading this book, then maybe I shouldn't read it at all. No kidding, on the retard comment. Yes, the government can't be trusted. Yes, this book can't be trusted. That's why you have a brain: to think for yourself.

    Mediocre book

As other reviewers have said the book is interesing, however blindly trusting facts simply because they are NOT from the government is stupid. Also please do not correct grammar when you are wrong yourself. The use of 'are' in a previous review was correct.

    It's 'OUR'! Retard.

If you don't know the difference between 'OUR', 'ARE', or 'R', you probably should concern yourself with subject matter slightly less intimidating than government policy. Why do the uneducated critic this country I love so much? The ememy has a towel on his head!

    So what?

I knew that Lincoln never freed any slaves. The 13th Amendment officially made slavery illegal, but Lincoln was not alive to pass that. This is nothing new for those who study anything about Civil War history.

    Come on,people

Yep, I'm sure some of the things in here are true, and severely disturbing, but come on, just as you can't believe everything told to you by the government, you can't believe everything told to you by the people trying to debunk that system. Additionally, learn to spell and use proper grammar if you want to critique and/or discuss a book. Please.

    It will open your eyes.

While I already knew some of these secrets, those that were new revelations to me were both astounding and sometimes scary. I found a few of them to be quite funny too. This book could make you think again before you buy cigarettes(enough to make me quit), milk, and SUV's.
