A Volkswagen Microbus journey through the heart of 1980's America.
A young man, just graduated from college, fulfills his long-standing dream by buying a vintage Volkswagen Microbus, recruiting a couple of friends and setting off across the continent, for a trip with no destination and no return date. Their only stated goal is to "add something new to the lexicon of great American drivers and passengers." Although their journey occurs at an anomalous time in modern history (i.e., the height of the Reagan era), they nonetheless manage to track down Iowa feedcaps, the Leaping Cat of Key West and the homeland of Dent maple syrup. And, ultimately, they even manage to tune in the elusive radio waves of 50,000 Watts of Jazz From Fargo.
