What a rip-off. When I bought this book for my Nook I figured I'd get reacquainted with an author I hadn't read in quite a while. I should have gotten a sample before I bought it... the first 50 pages were ads and samples of other books Leonard has written. If I had known that I would have skipped buying it, and paid more for a better book by another author instead.

    Another great Elmore read

Elmore Leonard's writing always has great characters with matching dialog. This is no exception. Reading this book I know that I have met these people along 8 mile road and southern Macomb county. He makes it real.

I started reading the great works of Elmore Leonard about a year ago, and I've never been disappointed. I've also realized that it's nearly impossible for me to name a favorite Leonard novel, their all so good, mainly for their characters and mastery of dialogue. However, most of the novels of his that I've read are from the 90's, making 52 Pickup, a tale of blackmail, murder, and more, the earliest of his works I've read so far. The book was excellent and definitely worth a look.

This is like The Switch, Only without the kick ass characters

Why didn't he just say its the Switch, only this time, HE WANTS THE GIRL. I like all Elmore Leonard but if your gonna buy this one: don't just buy the Switch instead.
