I came back yesterday, after purchasing this e-book a few weeks back, wanting to write a poor review. Then I noticed the description said the formatting had been fixed. I decided to download it again, and I am happy that I did. The formatting is a hundred times better now. It is actually readable instead of a headache.

"Sci-Fi: Stockpile for the Nook Collection" has EVERY SINGLE ONE of these stories in it plus at least 100 more, and for a dollar less. I bought both without comparing the lists, and realized that had bought the exact same thing twice, except THIS version costs more and has fewer stories.

It's a fantastic collection but nearly impossible to read because of the formatting. The font is a large-sized light classic (aka typewriter-ish) and the lines are all different lengths, sometimes with only a couple words per line. You can't change the font to something readable, either. Talk about eye strain.
For other reviewers who shrugged and said "hey, but you can't beat the price", actually, you can. All of these stories are in public domain and you can download them to your nook for free, in a format that's easy to read.

Very dissapointing,but only because of the font. These books look they were typed with a bad typewriter.You can barely read the type and the font CANNOT be changed.At $3.99 for 59 novels I guess in this case,you get what you pay for.

This is ventage Sci-fi at its best. Go back to when Venus was a tropical Jungle, Mars has canals, and you could buy a used atomic rocket. The good guys could overcome impossible odds and always got the girl.
Second childhoods can be fun.

Some of the folks who posted that there is no Table of contents for this collection need to read their Nook manual on how to access it. The first two books in this collection don't even belong here as I wouldn't classify them as SciFi. The third story by Ayn Rand is corrupted and unreadable and when I attempt to read any of the others I get booted out to the Home screen. I want my money back even though it was only $3.99....

This book should not be sold unless they format it for a book reader which isn't the case...every other line is short..no justification or good sentence structure and light colored font (light classic?) which incidentally cannot be changed to either of the 2 fonts in the preference section..the selection of books is fantastic...but could be very hard on the eyes and brain after awhile with the crap formatting

I have 90% of these in print and they are all wonderful books from the golden age of SF.
Dont miss this or you will regret it.
Now if i can find about a dozen more collections like this i will be a very happy camper.

While it is missing a few I thought would be exemplary of the genre, it is a good starter for getting someone who enjoys the modern depictions to see where the genre came from, and read the true masters.

some stories in this book are unreadable. they are formatted incorrectly making the text appear as one long line in the middle of the page. i wish there was a way to make it readable.

Lacks even a simple table of contents or any way to navigate thousands of pages. Forget finding what you want, you can't even tell what's in it.
There may be great texts hidden here, but they completely unusable.
