Meet the Author


As the Executive Director of Virginia Conservation Network, Nathan Lott oversees the nonprofit network's environmental education and advocacy programs. Since he joined VCN in 2006, the network has focused on promoting energy efficiency, restoring the Chesapeake Bay, and improving land-use planning.

Nathan previously worked as public relations specialist for the Virginia Department of Conservation and Recreation and as a managing editor at Menasha Ridge Press in Birmingham, Alabama. He is a board member for the State Environmental Leadership Program.

Nathan lives in Richmond's historic Battery Park with his wife, son and daughter.
