The morning I left for this hike, I noticed that someone had stolen two rocking chairs from our front porch during the night. I was pretty upset. As I approached the trail, I thought about the thieves briefly, but the sight of the misty woods immediately put them to rest. Hopefully you will find these woods as peaceful.
From the parking lot, approach the newly built rock entrance, which displays imprints of leaves from trees you'll see along way. Follow the trail into the woods and stay to the right. A map board soon comes into view. Here you can check your bearings and fill out an information card, which will let park officials know who is on the trail. Whenever you go hiking, it's always a good idea to let someone know where you are going and when you plan on returning home.
