Overview

The official spin on numerous government programs is flat-out bullshit, according to Jesse Ventura. In this incredible collection of actual government documents, Ventura, the ultimate non-
partisan truth-seeker, proves it beyond any doubt. He and Dick Russell walk readers through 63 of the most incriminating programs to reveal what really happens behind the closed doors. In addition to providing original government data, Ventura discusses what it really means and how regular Americans can stop criminal behavior at the top levels of government and in the media. Among the cases discussed:

• The CIA’s top-secret program to control human behavior

• Operation Northwoods—the military plan to hijack airplanes and blame it on Cuban terrorists

• The discovery of a secret Afghan archive—information that never left the boardroom

• Potentially deadly healthcare cover-ups, including a dengue fever outbreak

• What the Department of Defense knows about our food supply—but is keeping mum

Although these documents are now in the public domain, the powers that be would just as soon they stay under wraps. Ventura’s research and commentary sheds new light on what they’re not telling you—and why it matters.

Editorial Reviews

From Barnes & Noble

Forget WikiLeaks. Maverick politician/author Jesse Ventura (Don't Start the Revolution Without Me!) has his hands on dozens of documents that expose the U.S. government's furtive attempts to control and misleads. These secret papers include a military plan to hijack airplanes and blame it on Cuban terrorists; a C.I.A. program to control human behavior; healthcare cover-ups; closely held truths about the Afghan conflict; and more. Made-for-headline revelations by a non-partisan activist and former Minnesota governor.

    Our government lies?

say it ain't so, Jesse. While I am pleased that such a person has taken such a strong stance on 9/11, the JFK assassination, and the TSA scandal (among others), I am saddened that the country, including myself, has so far to go to catch up to him. What a great presidential ticket would be Ventura and Paul 2012. This book is dedicated to Congressman Ron Paul.

"In a free country like ours when the truth equals treason we're in big trouble." - Ron Paul

Mr. Ventura has solidified his place in history. Speaking the truth, standing up for good principles, respecting the constitution, and helping others is never a bad thing.

So what's next for Ventura? Some would ask "what's left for Ventura?!" he's just about done it all - military, wrestling superstar, commentator, movie star, mayor, governor, author, activist, tv show host, surfer, dog lover, devoted husband and father...what is left?

America needs you now more than ever. We all should support Jesse Ventura and his lawsuit against the TSA. this case is going to add to his legacy, and ill be recorded in history!

    I Also Recommend:

    "REQUIRED READING" for American Citizens

Did you know that our government planned on intentionally killing our own soldiers and civilians to falsely justify an invasion of Cuba? That led to President Kennedy's firing of the General who was the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. That came on the heels of "SIOP-62"; the "Single Integrated Optional Plan" was an actual military proposal for the total annihilation of the entire Communist bloc in 1962. It was formally presented to President Kennedy as a recommendation and he was so furious that he literally stormed out of the meeting in disgust.

Understanding our history is vital because informing us of the near catastrophes of the past also helps us avoid them going forward. So if you think that "false flag" attacks and the rounding up of innocent citizens are the realm of overzealous "conspiracy theorists," then this book is a very important "heads-up."

In "63 Documents," Ventura & Russell team up successfully again in a no-holds-barred exposé of government corruption:

#1: Links between past government perpetrations and today's political agendas, such as the CIA's Secret Assassination Manual: "Maybe they should change the name to the CIA's 'secret first degree murder manual.' How is that we are allowed to kill other people if we're not in a declared war with them?"

#2: Delves into a series of government, military, and corporate secrets. Many veterans of the first Gulf War suffer adverse health conditions, yet the government denies the validity of Gulf War Syndrome. "What's it going to take for our leaders to consider the real cost of these endless wars?"

#3: A history of "shady" White Houses. Including an internal war "between Nixon and Richard Helms, director of the CIA... Time and again, the CIA thumbs its nose -- even at Presidents. So who runs this agency if the President doesn't?"

#4: The truth about the terrible events of Sept. 11, 2001. "The question that's haunted me from day one is: 'How come the world's biggest military superpower was somehow oblivious to rogue airliners in American air space for more than an hour?'"

#5: Examines the true facts behind the "War on Terror"-- such as the CIA's destruction of detainee torture videos.

Probably great, but can't read the .pdf's. 7" screen too small.

I've read his previous books and they are excellent for those who are more intelligent than the USA main media propaganda. My only problem with this edition/my device is; I read it on a Pandigital 7 inch screen and can't see the scanned .pdf documents/files because they are a lot smaller on the display than regular text. But for those who trust Jesse there is a little, albeit little, regular sized text explanation on what you should be able to see on the original scans. They should not be scanned only, they should be quoted and easy to read.

    Did Not Like

I did not like "63 Documents" as much as Mr. Ventura's "Conspiracy Theory" book. My criticism lies with the difficulty in reading excerpts from some of the documents presented. It seemed to me that one was supposed to consider these documents with more seriousness because of the look of the document. As if belief in its authenticity would be more certain because it was a copy of the real document. I found these areas so difficult to read that I skipped over them. There were notations of where the documents could be found but I wasn't interested in spending my time and effort looking them up.

I would say the book didn't hold my interest as much as I thought it would. Sorry I wouldn't recommend this book.

Read the book. Don't try it on the Nook PC reader

The words of Jesse Ventura were extremely interesting and informative (and more than a bit scary). But you need to get the book because the 63 documents are unreadable on the Nook PC Reader. Don't know about a regular Nook. I would give it more stars if I could read the documents.

Does not work as a Nook Book on an iPhone

The documents referenced are not easy to read or even readable at all in Nook on an iPhone. Other than that, Jeese Ventura has an engaging way of introducing the documents and a unique point of view as an Ex-Navy Seal and Governor of Minnesota.
