Great book, just took a month to be delivered. If you can get motivated to follow a workout, you can do 50 pull ups. might have to do a few 7 week programs, but hang in there.

Pull-ups can definitely be intimidating, but Brett broke it down and made it accessible for anyone at any level, and this was great to see. He doesn't overwhelm you with technical jargon or mire you in too many stories. He has just the right tone, like a big brother explaining what's worked for him (the big brother who cares, not the one who beats you up!) with refreshing honesty and fun touches of humor amid concrete instruction and insight that actually starts you believing that you, too, can succeed at this. I thought the presentation of the book was right in line with the voice of the author, too. It was clear, concise and beneficial, especially to see pictures displaying the movements right along with the text you're reading. The Key Points and Tips highlighted throughout served to bring the book beyond a merely instructional guide to feeling like you had your own personal trainer right there with you, giving you an inside edge to not only avoid injury but to accomplish your goal sooner than later! The programs are laid out very well and Brett's explanations and charts make them simple to follow. He's continually encouraging and always positive, which made me eager to keep reading and left me looking forward to more inside tips from a guy who's not only been there but believes in what he's doing and cares enough to bring you along with him. I look forward to reading his next offering. Right now, I'm off to buy a pull-up bar . . .

I've been working out and weight lifting for over 12 years (on and off lately) and have found pull-ups to be one of the most effective exercises to get ripped fast. Since the arrival of our first child, my time to workout has been non-existent, but reading this book and starting the workout has me motivated again! It's been a few years since I've consistently exercised but with this motivational program, I have jumped right back in without missing a beat. Currently I'm 2 ½ weeks into the program and the challenge set by the book has me more driven to workout than ever and I look forward to beating my all time best (in college) of 30 pull-ups (or doing 15-20 with the baby backpack on - toddlers love the program too!). I use the iPhone app to track my progress and found that to be invaluable also. For beginners, the introduction, stretching tips, FAQ, and all the pictures would be very helpful tools. For more advanced enthusiasts, there are exercises I never even heard of in the book and the program a great twist on the traditional workout and would be great to get you started again or get you out of a workout rut. Enjoy!
