Take heart, you matter and you are loved

I read this book as a Non-Christian in a situation where I was wronged in a pretty damaging way, by a so called person of God, who falsely accused me out of vindictiveness and spite and has probably ruined my reputation in the eyes of people who know me and even more who don't. Of course I am hurt by the betrayal and feel very alone in the world as I go through a "season" where my life socially and emotionally seems bleak, and like the author I feel like putting up walls, in fact I question weather the people who say they are my friends really are at all. I'm at a really low point wondering how I can ever repair what's been done to to me, much less forgive the person who did the damage. I was looking for something helpful and found this book and found it a great comfort. Although the betrayal is still fresh, well is fresh, the author assures us that even in the worst circumstances, that God has a greater purpose in mind if we are patient. It feels good to know God knew what this person was going to do, perhaps as a stepping stone to something better. Of course he doesn't want me to suffer and I know he feels my hurt and yes anger at the person who wronged me. He also knows the pain I feel at being abandoned or being wrongly judged by others who perhaps believe this person's lies. It doesn't matter. God knows the truth and believes in me even if no one else does and will act accordingly. Yeah, having to rebuild my life, my reputation will not be easy and I may be without friends for a long while, but in the end, he'll work it all out so that my "new" life and my new friends are better than the ones I've lost. But for now, as I struggle through the pain of getting there, I have this book to cling to in the times when hope and faith waivers, so thank you author, for helping in some small way.
