Overview

Book 2 of the 80AD series sees Jade, Phoenix and their companions flung into the frozen wastes of northern Europe.

Here they must somehow reach Asgard, home of the Norse Gods, in order to steal the Hammer of Thor.

They are far from civilisation, snowbound, hunted, lost and on a deadline. If they don't reach Asgard in time, bad things will happen: Ragnarok - the end of the world. Unending winter, followed by hellfire and an almighty battle between the gods and giants.

If this world is destroyed, Phoenix and Jade die with it and their bodies, back in their own world, die as well.

Standing in their way are trolls, wolves, their old enemy Feng Zhudai and a new one - Loki, god of mischief and chaos.

To save this world and themselves, they must get to Asgard in time. Of course, it would help if they knew where it was. Then, somehow, when they do find it, they have to steal Thor's Hammer - and everyone knows that stealing things from Gods is a bad idea.

This series has the unique talent of remaining interesting and full bodied, while simple and easy to read. I have been searching for a book to read before bed or in class that does not take too much infering. The characters are very distinctive and well-rounded. While not an on-the-edge-of-your-seat thriller, this series keeps your intrest. A few grammatical errors here and there but nothing too gregarious. However, I read about college level, so I wish it had been a bit higher level writing. Overall good series, wish I'd discovered it at a younger age.

I'm just finishing up Book 2 and I am enjoying the storyline so far. It's a great book to escape on a quiet day, and if you like fantasy and magic. I know I'll like the rest of the series. I am very pleased that they were all free!

I don't want to give any of the story away so I won't talk about it. This second book of the series is just as good as the first one. The story is well done and you just might learn a little history while reading it.

2nd Book great, too. Again, fast & furious. Great development of characters. Never a dull moment

The second book in this little enterprising series is as exciting as the first. The action is very satisfying. The dialogue is great. And the character development is great. Pheonix and Jade are easier to understand.

It is so awesome. Too bad it wasn't a New York Times bestseller, but that's also a good thing, because it could have cost me a bunch of money. Hooray!

A great young adult book. I'm 62 & I enjoy young adult books. The language is clean, ( I hate the fact that many so called adult authers think that the use of foul language makes for a more powerful story.. What it really proves is that the auther has a weak command of the English language.) The same applys for sex scenes. They serve no purpose towards a plot or story! Jerry Chastain
