About the Author

Roets studied literature at the Rand Afrikaans University and worked as an editor and proofreader at a Technikon for long distance learning. She is the author of an Afrikaans novel “Areafees” and “My Father's Will”, written in the South African English dialect. There are three more novellas to follow. Currently Magdel is working on her next full length novel, a religious thriller titled “The God of these Times.” She is also a blogger where she tells of everyday happenings and her work as a writer. Recently she was approached by Stellenbosch Hospice to write the true accounts of their patients, for their Facebook Page. Magdel Roets is married, has four married children and nine grandchildren. For most of her life she had been living in Johannesburg, but relocated recently to the picturesque town of Stellenbosch. Her other interests are painting, reading, gardening and she enjoys a brisk walk early in the morning.
