Quakers peacefully abstained from war and chartered several colleges in the Dayton area. The Wright brothers invented the airplane to end all wars, and the landmark Dayton Peace Accords famously ended the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Dayton native Tammy Newsom comes from a public service background with a concentration in sales and recruiting. She has been published as a freelance writer since the early 2000s and has written numerous news articles with the Dayton City Paper, Dayton Daily News and Impact Weekly. Tammy works as a program administrator for the Logistics Training Course offered through Montgomery County Job and Family Services. She has a BFA in drama from the University of Cincinnati.
