About the Author

Benjamin Winslow graduated from Cal Poly Pomona with a journalism degree, played baseball for Cal Poly, played baseball for the Oakland As, is a combat veteran with the U.S. Navy, and is currently a graduate student. He, too, is a Jesus follower.

A Chicago native and proud alum of SIU-Carbondale (Salukis!), and the University of Arizona (Bear Down!), my experience includes teaching kinesiology at the university level (University of Wyoming, U of A, Texas A&M, and a few others), and teaching science - biology, chemistry, physics, earth science, and marine science - at the high school here in Prescott, Arizona. I met my husband, Kent, while teaching at Texas A&M University (Go Aggies!), have 4 beautiful sons, and are thrilled to be grandparents! The God's Cool Creation book series was borne from a conversation I had while attending a women's Christian conference. While I emphasized how God's creation and science are NOT mutually exclusive, I discovered how little my fellow believers in Jesus understand this. Thus I felt compelled to start this series. I want to show how incredibly complex God's design is, and that His creation details defy any possibility of coincidence. My goal was and is to keep all the language simple so kids and adults understand His work. The illustrations are mine, too. My major in college was initially art, but as a college athlete back in the day, it seemed a better flow to major in physical education. Writing these books, then, allows the frustrated artist in me to express what little talent I have.
