Beautifully written and amazingly funny. I don't usually laugh at books but I had to call my mother continually to read her passages that left me rolling on the floor. Anyone can identify with Bennett's 'This can only happen to me' take on life and all of the random mishaps. The best part about this book is that Bennett has no shame. She touches upon every topic, ranging from sex motels in Japan to getting lost and not even knowing where home is. Bennett is witty and striking. She honestly teaches about the Navy lifestyle without ever having to say 'this is how it's done, remember to do this.' She is an educator by example, proving that women can do just about anything men can.
