Ben and Keali are young teens who only want to have fun over the summer until they find the impossible in their back yards: There's a small, wounded dragon taking shelter in a tree house. They befriend the dragon and try to nurse her back to health, all the while thinking this is the best summer ever. And it is. Until the knights show up, demanding the head of the dragon. The knights are about two feet tall and riding weiner dogs, but their weapons are dangerous enough to take out any of the tree house's inhabitants.
Facing down small, but determined and very angry, opposition, Ben and Keali must find some way to help their new dragon friend while defeating a horde of swarming, armed knights who think they have the right on their side.
This fast-paced story is fun for all ages.
