Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature - Phyllis Kennemer
Twins Meg and Charlie love living in the Pet Hotel that is owned by their great-great Aunt Saffron and managed by their parents. Meg has recently acquired a puppy of her own, and Charlie is yearning for a cat. The twins help with caring for the animal guests, making sure they have food and water and taking the dogs for walks. Elvis, a small cockatiel, screeches a line from his namesake's song, Hound Dog, and hops from place to place. Although an injured wing has fully healed, Elvis does not fly yet, and the twins are determined to get him back into the air. When Matilda, a pregnant cat, checks into the hotel, Elvis stays near her until he gets trapped in the dumb waiter. The only way out for him is by air, and he flies to the opening. Charlie adopts one of the kittens and all ends happily. Black-and-white illustrations contribute to the meaning and add humor. This book is a good choice for young animal-loving readers. Part of the "Pet Hotel" series. Reviewer: Phyllis Kennemer, Ph.D.

    Icefire & Stormypaw

Icefire padded up to Cloudripple. "I think you should. No one would ever vote me, and other cats are much better than I. Commetstorm, you should, too." She meowed. "But-" Stormy meowed, but was cut off with a glare from his mother. Stormypaw looked at his paws in shame. "I agree with Cloudripple with all my heart. It would be nice to speak at the gathering, though. But, more cats know you." Icefire meowed to Cloudripple. (I totally agree with Cloudripple!)

    Cloudy

    (Aw, thanks, guys!)
Cloudripple looked down at her paws, not expecting that response. "Um, ok. If that's what the clan wants." She exchanged a glance with Cometstorm.
Bluefleet looked at Amberspirit. "What do you mean? You've always been here."
(Omg I seriously didn't expect that to happen!)

Matty to All -- GoodBye HorseClan :'(

This is my resignation. After the long year of 2013 that I was with HorseClan, I had a great time. I do not feel need for RP, And horseclan is a stranger to me. I am never noticed nor know anyone. I may check in every now and then. HorseClan is inactive now, compared to how it was a couple months ago. Also having family issues and no longer can afford my cell phone bill, and running low on cash for wifi. My 18th birthday was today, which sucked. All in all, I just have lost the good things that RP can bring. For people that dont know me, Im WindWing, former deputy, and leader of HorseClan. Also, Work is killing me and Im going thru depression. Hard life. Goodbye HorseClan, and Velvetstar keep this clan going. ~Matty, Aka WindWing.

    Amberspirit

"I'd like to speak as well, but Cloudripple, you and Cometstorm would do much better than me." Amberspirit blinks. "I want what's best for the clan, and you and Cometstorm are those things right now, no matter how much I'd like to lead." Her voice lowers. "It's all I've ever wanted, but I have no right to. I abandoned HorseClan." Sadness glistens in her eyes, and memories swell like waves in them, sadness, happiness, and love.
