This book is an excellent addition to the kitchen. It allows me to find delicious recipes that will work for my husband and me without dietary needs, as well as recipes that work for a house full of guests, some with special needs. I like that Torie has made most of the recipes adaptable for a variety of dietary restrictions and her ingredient notes at the front are very helpful for someone like myself that isn't necessarily well-versed in all of the substitutions that are available for those who can't eat regular flour or dairy, for instance. I can easily come up with a shopping list or see what might work that I already have in the pantry for a particular recipe. I have given this book as a gift to friends and family that have either dairy or gluten intolerances and it's nice to have such a fun, attractive book to give as a hostess gift, for instance. I know one young girl that cooks from this book and says that everything has turned out great. I made the Chocolate Orange Ice Cream one night for my sister and niece - it was so good right out of the ice cream maker and hard to not eat all of it at once!

Torie's recipes were a big success!! I made the peppermint snowball cookies which dissapeared rather quickly in my house and the apple cinnamon chip swirl bread for a bridal shower that I threw. Not only were people glad to have a homemade loaf of bread but the flavors were amazing! Once again, lots of positive comments. The recipes were easy to follow so you don't have to be an experienced chef to experience the deliciousness. This book is definitely a favorite in the house :)
