    Interesting but basic

The actual format doesn't always "translate" well; some words and paragraphs are garbled and indecipherable. It is a first hand diary type account of life in the blockaded Sourh, as the title says. The author gives excessive space to the making of fabrics and clothing, which gets wearisome but I guess that was an important part of her life.
