Overview

Through My Life Stories, I confront the most personal events of my life - from such tragedies as having a still born child and the effects of alcoholism to the triumph of finally finding peace, joy and true love of self. Read my stories and discover that you are not alone. Believe that you do have the power and strength to overcome life's misfortunes - that is what makes us who we are. I wrote this book to share what others may not be able to, and my heart goes out to all of you who have lived through darkness and sadness. You will discover dignity and peace, as I have.

This book of poems was very heartfelt and to the point. Many of the poems have personal meaning I think to a lot of people. Life's experiences can be very difficult to express and this author does it wonderfully. I can't wait to see what more she has to offer. If I had 4 thumbs she would get them all. Thank you..

I bought this book of poems and read it from cover to cover in one sitting. I realized that life happens to all of us, but to hear stories like these told in a poem can give hope to many. I feel that Elizabeth Martella has a gift... and to be able to express her life stories in this format is priceless.
