I LOVE Lori Foster. However, I couldn't finish this book due to the annoying librarian. Her way of talking was so annoying. Every time I read her lines, I eould cringe.

Buckhorn Bachelor is the latest sizzling installment to a favorite series A Buckhorn Bachelor totally delivers as the latest sexy, sizzling installment in one of my favorite Lori Foster series. Adam Sommerville, who we first met back in Jordan’s book as a shy child, is now all grown up and hotter than ever! With his sexy, confident swagger, he sets his sights on the school librarian, and given his laser like focus, she doesn’t stand a chance. But not so fast!! Isabella Presley, the conservative acting librarian, has a few tricks up her own sleeve, and is determined to break out of her shell. So watch out Adam!! Isabella’s southern accent and down home country sayings are a riot, and she uses all her southern charm to keep Buckhorn’s favorite bachelor on his toes. This short but sassy novella was endearing, funny, sexy, and overall fun to read. If you love the Buckhorn Brothers like me, then you will definitely love this one too. There were lots of appearances by the whole clan. But even if you haven’t read about the Buckhorns before, this novella is still enjoyable. If this is your first Buckhorn book, then it definitely won’t be your last.

A Buckhorn Bachelor A Gym teacher and a Librarian? A match made in… Buckhorn Adam Sommerville, Elementary School Gym Teacher meets Isabella Presley, Middle School Librarian.. well they actually already know each other, but he’s never paid any attention to her, until now. He’s on the prowl and suddenly his systems go wonky and he finds himself interested – in Isabella! I love any book written by Lori Foster, and this short novella is right up there with the rest of her Buckhorn series and others. It is fun with humor a little snark and romance. Take a few minutes and read this story, you will enjoy it. A cute little twist at the end and voila, another great (short) read from Lori Foster I received this book as an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

4.5 star I was pulled right into this super story. The story has laughs, secrets, and heartbreak. If you have not read the below I would recommend reading those books(s) first Sawyer (Buckhorn Brothers, #1) Morgan (Buckhorn Brothers, #2) Gabe (Buckhorn Brothers, #3) Jordan (Buckhorn Brothers, #4) Casey (Buckhorn Brothers, #5) Animal Attraction (Buckhorn Brothers, #5.5) Back to Buckhorn (Buckhorn Brothers, #5.6) A Buckhorn Summer (Buckhorn Brothers, #5.7) This is Isabella and Adam’s story. Isabella and Adam work at the same school. They have interacted before but when Isabella puts herself out there will Adam want her? Or will his meddling cousin come between them. Can he get all the other bachelors of the small town to realize that Isabella is his and he is claiming her? Isabella is in love with Adam but can he love her? Or is he just with her for the week? Can he figure out what he wants before his cousin brings around even more men for Isabella to get to know? I loved these characters and also the side characters. I felt I was able to connect with the characters and the story was a great read. I highly recommend this book.

Okay, I'm going to admit that The Buckhorn series was my first series I read of Lori's and I've loved her writing ever since. That being said it's like visiting your relatives and "catching up" when you read another Buckhorn story. I don't want to add any spoilers but it's fun to get to see some of the previous characters and get a glimpse of characters who'll hopefully get their own stories in the future. As with most families they all want "what's best" for Adam and they can't help but get involved. If you've read Back to Buckhorn or A Buckhorn Summer you'll know who the biggest meddler is and it's still funny and sweet in that obnoxious way relatives can be. Ha, ha! Again, Lori writes a cute story of two people who most wouldn't see together and of course they're perfect for each other. I love how she makes you see through her characters how sometimes who you think a person is based on looks, charisma, charm, and subtlety is entirely different from the true person underneath. Her stories are always fun, and they have that hot romance thing down pat. Of course one of the other awesome things about her yearly novellas that I look forward to around the summer time is that she donates the proceeds to a well deserved charity in her community. I mean really? Who can't want to read these just knowing you're doing good for others, usually animals in this case. If there is any downside it is always that it seems the Buckhorn series is destined to be novellas which is so hard for me because I always want to "spend more time" visiting those characters from the previous books and seeing what's going on in the wonderful place known as Buckhorn. Now for another "up"side you get to read a sample of her next book Don't Tempt Me, and let me tell you, you don't want to miss it! I'm lucky enough to have read that one as well and I can honestly say you won't be able to put it down it's just that tempting! New town, new characters to fall in love with and cheer for, what more could you want? I was given an advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

A refreshing and charming read. Izzy, the town librarian, has been in love with Adam for years, and finally decides to act upon that desire. Adam enjoys no shortage of female attention, but is starting to tire of playing the field. Enter Izzy, who is finally up front about her feelings, a meddling cousin, and you are in for an entertaining, humorous read. I loved seeing Adam out of his comfort zone in this book. He is used to women fawning over him, but he is not used to competing for their attention. His cousin Amber pushes him to figure things out with Izzy by introducing her to other men. I loved watching their relationship develop, and how Ms. Foster presented Izzy as such a strong, confident woman. Definitely another great addition to this series! Can’t wait for Amber’s story! *I received and ARC of this book for an honest review.

This is Adam's story. We've been waiting to see if this elusive bachelor would ever meet his match. And boy did he ever! I love when men suddenly realize that what they've been looking for has always been right under their noses and in front of their blind little eyes. (They always seem so surprised and it makes me laugh.) I love Issy. She's sweet, sassy and just southern enough that as I read this book I found myself hearing her with a very pronounced southern twang. ( I have on good authority that a woman with a southern accent is very sexy. - Don't ask.) Anyway, Issy is very lovable and as she did with Adam, she captivated me. There isn't any reason in the world that a librarian can't be sexy. Thank you Lori. And I especially enjoyed the visit with most of the Buckhorn Family. Catching up was amazing. This novella is a quick, satisfying story about family, friends, the craziness of living in a small town and finding out that maybe growing up isn't such a bad thing. I hope Lori Foster never runs out of reasons to take us back to Buckhorn country.

I have always loved the Buckhorn Family stories and this one is another great story. I don’t want to give anything away but this is a must read. It is a sweet story about two people who have known each other for a while. The way they finally come together is very entertaining. It may be a short story but it is a fun read. It was really great to get to catch up with the rest of the family. Looking forward to more great stories about the Buckhorn family. I received an ARC of this book for an honest review.

A great new addition to the Buckhorn series. Adam finally realizes Izzy is the one for him. Izzy finally decides to try and get Adam's attention. Adam Sommerville always thought he had it all—a great family in a close-knit community, a worthwhile job as a high school gym teacher and no shortage of women eager to be on his arm. But it seems his luck has suddenly run out. Because Buckhorn's most renowned bachelor has decided it's time to settle down—and the one woman he wants has just put him firmly in the friend zone. Hiding her true feelings from Adam has been a full-time job for the past five years, but librarian Isabella Presley is determined not to be the latest heart he breaks. The best way to get over her attraction is to find someone else to date—even if it means asking Adam for flirting tips to help her land the perfect guy. A great story where you see two people finally realize what others have seen all along. A great quick read, perfect for a lazy summer day.

Lori Foster’s novella, A Buckhorn Bachelor, introduces us to Adam Sommerville and Isabella Presley. Adam is the most sought after bachelor in Buckhorn and is on the prowl again until he spots Issy reclining on a blanket in the shade during the town’s carnival. Issy has always wanted Adam, but doesn’t know how to go about letting him know. With a little meddling from Adam’s cousin Amber, Adam and Issy start spending time together. Adam realizes Issy is the woman for him and Issy gets the man she wants. Issy is now one of my favorite heroines. I loved her boldness, especially the scene when she tells Adam how she feels about him. Ms. Foster writes a fun summer romance of two people who have been attracted to each other and, with a little help, find their HEA together.

I loved this one so much. I'm a huge fan of the Buckhorn series and I just love that the second generation is getting books. I so enjoy getting to see the characters in their later years. I loved Adam so very much. This was a light, fun, passion filled romance. This was exactly the read I needed. My heart melted the way Adam dealt with the kitty. He has the magic touch like his dad. The chemistry between Adam and Isabella was fantastic and I just got sucked right into the story. It had me right from the beginning. It's one of those stories that it's so good you don't want it to end and too short you want more. I highly recommend this one! It had me laughing as well and that's a winner is my book.

Adam Sommerville has always been known has Buckhorn's most unattainable bachelor, the mere thought of tying himself down to one woman has never been something that he willingly wanted to do... that is until now. Lately he has been growing tired of the one night game and the idea of adding regularity to his dating life and spending his time with only one woman can be thought about without him feeling the urge to run. The problem is he can't seem to find that one woman who is perfect for the task, the one with that special spark, the one who he can foresee himself waking up next to every morning. Little does he know that woman has been part of his life for years, he was just to blind to notice the signs, but now that is all about to change... For the last five years Isabella Presley has harbored a deep seated crush for her friend Adam Sommerville, and she would love nothing more than to be the one woman who captivates his attention and his heart, but Adam doesn't roll that way. He keeps himself unattainable when it comes to women and relationships, and the word forever isn't in his vocabulary, so Issy does her best to hide her feelings from him, to maintain their solid friendship. She knows she can't wait around for him forever, and going home alone every night is starting to make her really lonely, so she decides it might be time to move on, and meet someone new... the problem is her flirty skills aren't up to par. So, she decides to enlist Adam's help, he of all people should be able to teach her how to pick up a date, who knows maybe seeing her move on will finally open his eyes to what has been standing in front of him all this time... The Buckhorn Series is my absolute favorite series from Ms. Foster, so when the opportunity arose for me to make a return to Buckhorn I jumped at the chance to be reunited with all my favorite characters. The minute I started reading I was immediately transported back to Kentucky, and it almost felt as if I had never left, it had the same blissful feel as my first visit. It was fun to get a glimpse of the men that started it all, and also be reintroduced to their now grown children, and be a part of their journey to find their happily ever afters too. This short, but oh so sweet, novella had it all, and was true to Ms. Foster's style of providing readers with the perfect blend of heartwarming story line and toe curling romance!! If you have not made a trip to Buckhorn I HIGHLY recommend you remedy that quick, because not only are you missing out on some truly enjoyable reading, but also the opportunity to meet some truly endearing characters that are sure to leave an indelible impression on your heart! ARC requested through NetGalley, and kindly provided by Harlequin (US & Canada) in exchange for a honest and unbiased review.

I've said it before and I will say it again - Lori Foster is one of my all-time favorite go-tos for a seriously good contemporary romance. Having read Don't Tempt Me, that book is an excellent example to show she's the master of the full length romance. But A Buckhorn Bachelor just proves that she also rocks the novella. This is actually my first Buckhorn book, even though I know this is one of her more popular series. And man, I didn't realize how much I was missing until now! This book is just further proof that Lori Foster can write down-to-earth, genuine characters. I truly believe I could meet someone just like Isabella and Adam. And frankly, I would 100% love to meet someone like Adam. With all the billionaires and rock star romances out there, there's something so comfy and relaxing about a gym teacher and a librarian. Despite the short length of this book (I estimate it to be around 90 pages or so), you can see the characters grow, not only on their own, but as a couple. Really, the only thing keeping this from being a five star perfect read is the cousin. I know she meant well, but I've never wanted to whack a character on the nose with a rolled up newspaper more than in this book. Annoying, nosy cousin aside - I couldn't put this down. Great read! (Disclaimer: I received a free copy in exchange for review)

Buckhorn's most eligible bachelor paired with the sexy librarian is a fun combination for a quick and sexy read. Lori Foster has a gift for creating the perfect hero. A Buckhorn Bachelor is another great addition to the series. **I received a copy in exchange for an honest review.**

This is such a sweet book! I highly recommend it. Adam Somerville lives in Buckhorn with his family and extended family. He is a ladies’ man but he has one female friend. Isabella Presley keeps him in the friend zone. He is the middle school gym teacher and she is the librarian. They have worked together well for years but he has never seen a hint that she is interested in him as other than a friend. Adam’s cousin Amber decides to help Isabella find a man. She does not consider Adam a good candidate, but it drives him crazy when Isabella starts flirting. Suddenly he wants more from her. Mayhem ensues, with Amber plotting to pull Isabella away from Adam so she can meet other hunky, interested guys. It seems her prim demeanor has put them all off for years and now that she seems interested they won’t stay away. Adam wants to keep them away, but they point out he has no claim on her. Of course they get their Happily Ever After, but not before we have fun getting involved in their story. Those who have read the other Buckhorn books will recognize familiar family members, but it is not necessary to have read them to follow the story line on this one. Every year Lori Foster writes a “benefit book”. All author proceeds go to charity. This would be worth supporting even if I didn’t love the book, but I love the book! I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

A short and sexy story that was also sweet and did not leave me wanting at all. I don't know how Lori Foster can write so many stories and yet each one is completely new and different. After years of reading this author I thought she couldn't really surprise me anymore but she still does. I always enjoy all her stories and Adam and Isabella's love story was just perfect. It was fun to revisit the original Buckhorn brothers and reading about the next generation of Buckhorns. And this is one of her benefit books. Which means all sales of this book goes to one of her charities. How cool is that?

A Buckhorn Bachelor is another terrific addtion to what has become one of my favorite series from Lori Foster. The family and community she has created in Buckhorn, KY makes me want to pack up and move there! Adam Sommerville, Buckhorn's favorite bachelor, and Isabelle Presley, school librarian, have been friends for years. Adam never thought of Issy as anything more than that, until one day, he does. Issy, though, has had feelings for Adam for quite awhile, but it takes some meddling from Adam's cousin Amber to really get things moving. I love how once these Buckhorn men set their sights on a woman, they don't let anything or anyone, deter them. And Adam is no different. Tired of the parade of men Amber insists on bringing around Issy, he realizes he needs to step up and be the man Issy deserves. I really liked Issy's character. She wanted Adam, but she wanted him on her terms...and that was refreshing! This is a quick, sweet, and sexy read that left me wanting more of these 2! ***A copy was received in exchange for an honest review.

This is one of my favorite series and it just keeps getting better!!! Adam is one of Buckhorn's most sought out bachelors, which means he has no shortage of female attention but playing the field isn't as fun as it use to be. Izzy is in love with Adam and with his cousin Amber's help, she hopes to catch his interest. Adam has always been interested in Izzy but she's never been anything other then professional with him, when she is suddenly flirty and more open with him, Adam is drawn in like a moth to the flame. Adam isn't the only one who sees Izzy as a sexy woman, he has to hurry and stake his claim and figure out what his feelings for Izzy are before anyone gets hurt. I love being able to check in with everyone in Buckhorn every once in a while. Adam and Izzy's story was wonderfully sweet and sexy, Izzy put all her cards all the table up front and asked Adam to essentially match her or fold. I definitely can not wait for Amber's story!!!

A must read for fans of Lori Foster's Buckhorn series! In A Buckhorn Bachelor, we get to see the most eligible bachelor, Adam Sommerville, fall for Isabella Presley, the junior high school librarian. A short, witty, sexy, cheesy foray into the fray of meddling family and friends. I cannot wait for Amber and Noel's story!

I really enjoyed this Buckhorn novella. This story features Adam Sommerville & the school librarian Isabella Presley. Adam has decided that it's time to settle down & wonders who he should fall in love with. Isabella has loved Adam for the past several years but has always hidden her feelings from him. However, with the help of Amber his eyes get opened. I also love there is a glimpse of what to expect when Amber & Noel get their story.

This book is a novella, not a full novel. Looks to me like another money grab from an author who should know better. Disappointed in a short story that could have been so much better, from an author I have read numerous times before.

It was a fun story and I enjoyed spending an hour or two back in Buckhorn.
