A Celebration in Song

All Music Guide - Stephen Thomas Erlewine
A Celebration in Song is not a proper Olivia Newton-John album, per se. Instead, it's a collection of duets -- some old, some new -- compiled into a benefit album for her cancer center in Melbourne, Australia, and as a benefit album it's hard to fault, as it is 12 songs of inspiration and faith that loosely speak to living with and surviving cancer. Musically, this is a little samey -- it's all gentle, immaculately produced easy listening -- but it's not that dissimilar to any of the records Newton-John has released since surviving breast cancer in 1993, and for any fan that has followed her in that decade and a half, this will be familiar, comforting, and for a...

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! BEAUTIFUL MUSIC WITH VERY TALENTED ARTISTS!

    1. A portion of the proceeds goes to Olivia's cancer organization.
    2. Beautiful picture
    3. Beautiful songs
    4. Trustworthy and Dependable
    5. Wonderful cause

These are Olivia's newest songs and with some very talented artists! The Heart Knows with Andy Gibb, Never Far Away with Richard Marx, Find a Little Faith with Cliff Richard, and Sunburned Cowbow with Keith Urban. The blend of music, instrumentals, accoustics, and lyrics are superb! These songs are inspirational, uplifting, and bringing joy to my heart and will to yours. Why not get this CD, help support the cancer cause, and listen to some great music by the best of the best? You'll be glad you did:)

Beautiful Thing is dedicated to Belinda Emmett: 12 Apr 74 to 11 Nov 2006 Emmett was diagnosed with breast cancer in 1998, aged 24. This is a most beautiful and tender song. She took a break from her role as Rebecca Fisher/Nash on Home and Away (during which time the part was played by Megan Connolly) and underwent surgery to remove a malignant tumour, followed by six weeks of radiotherapy. She left the cast of Home and Away the following year and went on to appear in nine episodes of All Saints as Jodi Horner between 2000 and 2001.

In September 2001, on the set of the Australian film The Nugget in which she co-starred as Cheryl with Eric Bana, Emmett began to experience intense back pain. Further tests revealed that the cancer had spread to her bones. I've listened to Beautiful Things hundreds of times and still moved by Belinda's singing.

The Olivia Newton-John Cancer and Wellness Centre will provide world-class research for all types of cancer, the best of patient care and treatment to help heal the whole person - body, mind and spirit.

I'm in. Hopelessly devoted to you

    Worth the money

I have been a fan of Olivia's for since 1975 and she had never let me down. I recommend this CD if you know someone or you, yourself is going through cancer. Listen to the words they are so right. Some are better than others but courageous is a great song to listen to.
