This was a very entertaining book, and far from being a stuffy biography. It moves at a good pace, although at certain times I would have liked to see the author slow down and discuss some details in a more interpretive sense.
The author does this in the very beginning, putting forth certain ideas, but later on does not really touch on those ideas again, at least not in any depth.
At times the book veers off and focuses more on Charlotte for a chapter or two, which was interesting and necessary for context, but I wish that a bit more focus had been put on Anne as well.
Overall, this is a very good book and a delightful read. I was expecting a dry biography but this is a real page turner. If you are a fan of the Brontës, this is a VERY good read.
