Meet the Author

JK Mikals first published at the age of 14, when her brother purloined a school assignment, sent it to the Readers Digest, and kept the resulting check. When Mikals learned of this some 30 years later, she told him he might as well keep the check. Currently exploring her mind and the tropics with her 15 centimeter Aztec companion, Xochitl, Mikals is known primarily for vocabulary, an enlightened point of view and an unusual sense of humor.

    okay

i almost gave up on this but once you get thru the first couple chapters it all starts to make some sense.

lots of puns and inside jokes -- some of which still went over my head.

    Interesting read

This writer's style is very good and would make a fine read for someone interested in mythology. Her use of grammar is very good. Her characters are varying and entertaining.

For a Fantasy, this is a good one. If this were the type of book I enjoyed I would give it more stars.
