Meet the Author

Life is a progression. We live, screw up, do a few things right, hopefully learn and live life as it comes at us.I was called into full-time ministry in 1984. A fantastic Pastor took me under his wing, discipled me, taught me and gave me opportunities to develop my God-given gifts. My brother was working his way through Bible college at the time. His encouragement has been a major part of my life in ministry. We were ordained together in 1986.I am a teacher. It is my spiritual gifting. It is my calling. It is my passion. I am happiest when I am sitting in front of any group of people answering questions about life from the Bible. One of the most satisfying times of my life was when I was teaching studies four nights a week, two lunch hour studies each week in local corporations and three times every Sunday. My teaching seems to be motivational and convicting. It’s how people are affected when I teach. There are times when I’d give anything to encourage people the way Joel Osteen does or to bring cheer to people’s lives like the guy who wrote “The Be Happy Attitudes.”But that’s not me. People just seem to go out and live stronger lives with Jesus when I teach. Sins and strongholds are broken down. The Holy Spirit within them is turned loose and empowered.I’ve been fortunate to have fantastic men in my life every step of the way. Guys who would question me mercilessly and intensely. Men who would listen to what I taught, check me out and come back at me with questions and thoughts when they believed I was wrong. And I’ve been wrong enough times to know that no one has it all figured out. We all keep learning and growing every time we open his book; every time we share it with someone else and each time we don’t know the answer to the question that has been thrown back in our faces.I hope you find the books in these pages interesting, challenging and helpful. If you decided to use one of them as a study guide for a small group and have questions as you go through it - feel free to give me a call right then when you are in your group and let me see if I can answer your question for you.Think I’m kidding?
