Editorial Reviews

From Barnes & Noble

Jean Shepherd's A Christmas Story opened the week before Thanksgiving in 1983 to mixed reviews and modest box office receipts; by Christmas that year, however, it was so popular that it was already well on the path to being the holiday classic it has become. Vicarious aficionados of the Red Ryder BB Gun will forever cherish this grand 30th multimedia anniversary celebration of the film. In addition to stories and seldom-seen color photographs, A Christmas Story Treasure contains pull-mementoes, a large movie poster, a greeting card, and an audio of music and memorable quotes from the film by author/narrator Shepherd. Even more fun than a leg lamp.
