Overview

SUBTITLE: "Studies on Conditions of Subclinical Hypoadrenia"

This eBook is also a section in "The Everything Adrenal Fatigue eBook!", and is offered for those interested in the chapters it contains, specifically.

This eBook is a detailed look at Adrenal Fatigue symptoms, diagnosis and treatment by a fellow sufferer, who has experienced this stress-related syndrome. I, the author have also found treatments and lifestyle change methods that have been tremendously effective in relieving my symptoms.

In the year 2003, during a time I was developing autoimmune thyroid disease and going through a prolonged and severe period of stress (chronic), I experienced this very real illness that results in mildly diminished adrenal function.

I located doctors who were able to diagnose my Adrenal Fatigue through testing, which determined that the low functioning adrenal syndrome was co-morbid (co-occurring) to my thyroid disease.

With Adrenal Fatigue being a sub-clinical condition and not full blown adrenal insufficiency, many doctors will not recognize or treat the syndrome. There are however highly reputable medical research articles that have been published, describing sub-clinical adrenal insufficient states as related to certain illnesses and stress syndromes.

Some of the health conditions that may result in Adrenal Fatigue, or that may include it as a feature of them, include Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Fibromyalgia, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and autoimmune and inflammatory diseases.

For the majority of Adrenal Fatigue sufferers, they began experiencing the syndrome due to chronic stress and not due to other co-morbid health conditions. Some of them refer to the symptoms of mild adrenal hypofunction as feeling "stressed out" all of the time.

There is hope of recovery and for some patients they will see full recovery and prevention of the syndrome from re-occurring. It is important however, to become well-educated about this sometimes debilitating health condition, so that one can see the best results from treatment and recovery of a better quality-of-life.

This eBook contains warnings in regard to cortisol treatments for Adrenal Fatigue (cortical-steroids) but IS NOT “anti-cortisol” in regard to treatment options. What is actually stated is the fact that non-steroid treatments are preferred and should be attempted first, due to the potential side-effects corticosteroids can cause.

It is also stated in the eBook that if a cortical-steroid is administered, it needs a qualified Dr. supervising the hormone therapy, who can also perform follow-up blood retest monitoring of the treatment.

NOTE: This eBook is approximately 8,036 words in length. The "Complete Look" reference in the title, is not to imply that this is an extensive medical journal but rather that it contains all aspects of information on the subject that most laypersons would be seeking.

Meet the Author

In 2003 I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism; "Hashimoto's thyroiditis" being the cause. This autoimmune form of thyroid disease that causes destruction of the thyroid gland resulted in my also developing "Chronic Fatigue Syndrome", due to a compromised immune system with severe co-morbid "Adrenal Fatigue".

I also suffered severe anxiety symptoms, including panic attacks early into the onset of Hashimoto's thyroiditis (Hashitoxicosis). A common heart murmur I was diagnosed with in my teens called "Mitral Valve Prolapse", also worsened in severity of symptoms, with the development of these other health disorders.

My eventual receiving of diagnoses was a difficult process with proper diagnostic testing not being ordered by the first doctors I sought treatment from. These types of issues were inspiration for me to become proactive in my own health care and to self-educate myself on these health disorders, which I have done extensively since 2003. I now enjoy sharing this information with other patients experiencing my same health disorders.

I completed theology studies with Liberty University in 1996. I formerly served as editor and forum moderator of Thyroid Health for a major multi-topic content site and as a general health writer for another, where I received Editor's Choice Awards for my articles on health subjects.

    The information I wanted

I like the information that comes to the main points in this one. I was also surprized to know that doctors have run studies on people with chronic fatigue and fibromyalgia and found them to have problems with low running adrenals. These are the symptoms I have and my pharmacist sold me an adrenal test kit that shows mine to be off balance. I plan to use the recommendations given to improve my own adrenals...hopefully!
