Overview

Natural born wicca Elizabeth Xavier likes her life just the way it is. She has a beautiful lake house. Power to rival just about anyone. And seven men that cater to her every desire. What she didn't expect was to be asked to perform a binding ceremony in the local were-bear den and tie herself forever to a were-bear as a permanent guard. She didn't like anyone telling her what to do, and giving a man a supernatural tie to her life meant he'd probably want to boss her around, too. Or tell her she couldn't enjoy her casual relationships with the other men in her life. Guilt is a strong motivator, as is the reminder that she was abducted several months earlier, so she goes into the den with the intention of securing a guard and keeping him at arms' length. Too bad no one told her that were-bears don't like to be kept at arms' length. When Elizabeth realizes that more than just her personal protection is up for grabs from the bear she binds herself to, can she go through with it, even if it means losing everything she enjoyed about her life? Will she go back on her word and destroy the alliance between the two groups, or does happiness lay in the underground den in the arms of a were-bear? When more than just the alliance and her own personal protection is on the line, Elizabeth has to make a decision fast. The decision to take a guard has never been so important. This novella is for mature audiences only and contains a feisty play-girl witch with a sarcastic attitude, some red-hot were-bear loving of the menage variety, jealous lovers, claws and fangs galore, and some roadside nookie hot enough to melt the tires from the truck. This book contains M/F/M interaction.

Meet the Author

A Midwesterner by birth, R.E. spent much of her childhood rewriting her favorite books to include herself as the main character. Later, she graduated on to writing her own books after "retiring" from her day job as a secretary to become a stay-at-home mom. When not playing with her kids, wrestling her dogs out the door, or cooking dinner for her family, you'll find her typing furiously and growling obscenities to the characters on the screen. Her best-selling series The Wolf's Mate, Wiccan-Were-Bear, The Necklace Chronicles, Hyena Heat, Wilde Creek, and Ashland Pride are available now.

I liked it alot it was an awsome book and yes maybe a lil too much sexual content but its fine for the people of age. If your not of age then you shouldnt have even crossed by this book so stop conplaning and live a little and get your panties out of a bunch. I loved the story overall its an intresting read;)

Good storyline, good sex, hot men--what more could you want?

It's very hard to like the female character Elizabeth. More then half the book is her own dialogue of, I hate to say slutty behavior. She's sexually active with 5 shifters & 2 vampires. 215 pages & NO story. Very disappointing.

Elizabeth and her were-bear twin husbands, Axe and Ash, sure give us a good story. Hot and steamy after they are collared and bound to each other. My only complaint would be that it seemed like the author got tired of writing and rushed through the last chapter by just commenting on what has taken place over the last 9 minths or so.

The story was good but the author was too caught up on all the sex acts.

Nice to read a self-pubbed with few errors. I haven't read much about wiccans, but I do love "were" stories (and this one was skillet-hot) except the bears were a little to giving(?), which lowered the conflict level. They needed more substance to their characters. The wiccan was certainly a 21st century soul...free and uninhibiited. Gotta love it. Kudos to the lead and the author.

I was surprised by the amount of sexual content. I generally do not read books with that much sex and with such graphic descriptions. The plot was fairly interesting, but for me there was too much sex and not enough about everything else that was going on in the book.

It was good at first but got boring when there was no conflict or resistance.

The storyline was good, not great. It could have been great. The biggest problem was little attention in defining her role as a witch and jer position with the coven. The "erotic" part could have been presented a little less low class porn. Properly written the situation with the twin bears could have been very erotic but allot less disgusting. Not the worst I read but not the best either

I really wanted to like this book. I really, really, REALLY did. Only I don't. To be fair I started with book nine before swinging back to book one, but still... Elizabeth is a powerful natural witch and as such is in dire need of protecting. She's also only 21 and loving the single life to the tune of seven hot ties dancing on her string. So when her grandmother, the coven leader says she needs to take a permanent guard, she balks. Now this is what I have an issue with. No one tells her what a serious thing this really is. It's glossed over as "permanent guard" until she's given her word to do it, and it's only on the way to do it that everything involved is explained. She goes through with it because she's given her word, but I can't help but think it's her magic skewing everything. Plus the only ones who might have explained never thought she didn't know what she was getting into. So three stars. Because in my opinion, her magic made her accept this HEA. First menage (didn't see that coming from the book description) that I didn't like.

At first I was skeptical, I mean, how could bears, eagles, snakes, and assorted other weres be sexy? As far as paranormals go I am strictly a vamp lady. But I adored Elisabeth, a Wiccian, from the get go, and I was totally captivated by her adventerous and spirited personality. When she was forced to collar a bear to solidify alliances between the bears and her coven, I felt her sense of not wanting to be tied down. However, the surprise twist in this story totally won me over. What woman could resist being pampered, spoiled, protected in such a primal, and yet loving way ! The wonderful surprise that comes Elisabeth's way, fullfills her desire both to not be "bored" but also nutures the two sides of her nature: The side that needs to be treated lovingly and gently, and the side that is feisty and will not be held in. I look forward to reading the sequels, highly recommended!!! I now LOVE bears!!!!
