    Had good pointers and tips

This book had alot of good pointers on how one should consider their partner, A.D.D. or not. It gave me good insight into how my boyfriend's A.D.D. mind thinks and acts differently than my own.It stresses how both sides need to work on the relationship. However, one important aspect i didn't like is the biasedness of the writer on medication. I mean of course the writer IS a doctor specializing in medicaation. It bugged me how some of the advice given was to take medication and THEN work on the problems. It was as if to be happy an A.D.D. individual had to take medication. My boyfriend has extreme A.D.H.D and is not on medication and is still a thriving individual. Yes he thinks differently than everyone else but sometimes thats a good thing. On medication he feels sick with headaches and feels trapped. My sister, depressed and suicidual. This book not once mentioned the downsides of medication. Other than that this book had some really good insights that i will use to help strengthen my relationship.

    Disappointing to say the least

This book is for those who think they might be A.D.H.D. or their partners might be. The book hardly mentions the struggles that those with A.D.H.D. who are already medicated go through. It also focuses a lot on those who suffer from hyperactivity and impulsiveness. It doesn't focus enough on explaining to the non A.D.H.D. partner what the A.D.H.D. partner goes through on a daily basis. There are too many stories that are repetitive and useless.

To sum it up, this book was:
    repetitive
    vague

Not to mention the information is now extremely outdated.

A handbook for understanding Relationships and A.D.D.

The book gave me insights to understanding how A.D.D. affects relationships in family, friendships, and romance. It use examples, and stories to convey the authors point about each aspect to the reader. I discovered a new understanding of dealing with A.D.D. to help improve any type of relationship on a daily basis. It is a book that I keep handy, and review often.
