    Highly Recommended

I enjoyed this story. You have to start with the "A Compromising Situation" to know Clarissa Derhurst. Evan Fortesque, Lord Wolviston set out to teach her a lesson, ends up falling in love with her. She falls in love with him only to discover he was not a rake and his motive for doing is hurt. It is a love story. I have read it twice.

    disappointed

It started well enough and kept promising to turn into something interesting but never did. The plot just seemed to go on and on and on, without much character development. She wanted to be loved because she was more than a pretty face but he only had one intimate conversation in the whole book and realized he loved her. I usually would recommend even a moderate book for the good parts but I'm not sure this book had any, totally disappointing.

    Not satisfying

Heroine believes she needs to marry a Rake in order to have passion and that she'll reform him to become a faithful husband, in the meanwhile not wanting the mature guy standing there. In addition to this silly (and overworked plot), many of the phrases and lines just seemed too cliched. This book reminded me of why regency authors like Judith Landsdowne and Barbara Metzger are SO satisfying to read.
