Overview

Dr. Talia Maris had lived her entire life as a freak—a too tall, too plain, too odd woman who sees and senses the presence of otherworldly entities. A total recluse, Talia spends all of her time on her research, living a contented, quiet life with only her loyal feline companion for company. Until that sedate existence comes crashing down around her when she starts being pursued by demon Evils. And if there’s one thing she hates…it’s demons. She ditches every one of them until Sentinel demon, Drew Winston, finally wins the game of pursuit by trapping her with a deceitful, underhanded trick. Not only is she infuriated by Drew’s stunt, but when he tells her she’s his mate, Talia wonders if the too handsome, too tall, too sexy Sentinel demon needs some serious psychological help. All she wants is to get rid of Drew as quickly as possible! But the stubborn Irishman isn’t budging, and her resistance slowly crumbles as she gets pulled deeper and deeper into the world of the Sentinels by the relentless attempts of the Evils to capture her. And what is she supposed to do with Drew Winston, a Sentinel demon who would do anything, even sacrificing his own life, to protect her?

There are two things Drew Winston loves about his life: being a billionaire Sentinel demon and food. He loves having everything he wants, and he’s perfectly happy slaying Evils and rescuing unsuspecting humans, until the irritating Dr. Talia Maris evades him one time too many. Yeah…sure…maybe he was a little devious in the method he used to finally meet her face-to-face, but he ends up being the one who is actually surprised when he discovers the elusive woman is actually his mate. Worse yet, she’s being pursued by ancient Evils, and it brings every protective instinct he has to the surface, making him want to kill anything that might hurt Talia. Maybe Drew had never wanted or expected a mate of his own, but once he has Talia in his grasp, he’s determined to keep her safe and make her want to stay with him forever.

This is the second installment of J. S., Scott's Sentinel Demons

This is the second installment of J. S., Scott's Sentinel Demons series.

Although not as popular as her other series, I have always loved the first book, and I find that I am definitely not disappointed with the second installment. In this one, we learn the story of Zach's demon brother Drew, a HOT Irishman, as he finds his radiant. There are further twists and turns in the further story of the conflict between the Sentinels and the Evils, and a surprising revelation!

Review based on gifted copy of the story. Even without the gifting, I would have bought this as soon as it was released, as I've waited for it for so long!

When I was first introduced to this series, I fell in love with

When I was first introduced to this series, I fell in love with Kat and Zach. Their passion leaped off the page. I have patiently waited for book 2 and, now that it is here, I am not disappointed! Talia is absolutely perfect for Drew! They both have obsessions that have overtaken their lives. A reader can feel the need and why they are the way they are before they become a couple. The changes in each of them to become one unit made me cry. The coupling of these two made me blush! The twists made me yell! I thoroughly enjoyed this book and will patiently wait for book 3! I definitely will recommend this book to others!

This is the second book in J.S. Scotts The Sentinel Demons serie

This is the second book in J.S. Scotts The Sentinel Demons series. A wonderful paranormal romance that has love, suspense, and lots of steamy sizzling parts. I adored Drew and Talia. The females in Jan's books are wonderful because they are everyday girls you can feel a connection with. I can't wait for the next book!!

I loved this book!  When I first started the series I wasn't sure about it because it was about demons.  Please don't let that deter you.  I fell in love with Zach  in book 1.  Book 2 is Drew's story.  I love Drew!!!!  He is a sexy alpha male who just happens to be Irish so you have the hot accent to go with it.  He is sent to rescue/protect Talia. He doesn't know that she is his radiant until he meets her.  She has been able to elude him each time he has come to talk to her.
I can not wait for book 3 to hear Hunter's story.  There were some things in this book that I was like WHAT!  The twists are great.  Good job J S Scott!
