Meet the Author

About Tracy Ellen... I was born in Indiana to middle-class parents, the third out of five hellions. I often used my supernatural powers to force my family members to listen to me talk and tell stories. When they laughed of their own free will, I knew the world would someday, somehow be my stage. I've lived in the Midwest my whole life--in a small town, on a farm, and in the big city. Currently, I live in the 'burbs of St Paul, Mn. with my family. I’m married and still tormenting the man I started stalking at age seventeen. Luckily, I'm speaking about the same man. The historical town of Northfield featured in Anabel’s Adventures is just down the road a jaunt. I like writing about the values and independent spirits of people found in small town living, but with a definitely modern twist. I hope you enjoy my books. Thanking you for checking me out.

    Simulated rape? Yuck!

The book opens with what seems to be a rape scene. It's really sexual role-playing to an extreme degree, but that was not made clear until the scene ended. It made a mockery of real rape. I was disgusted and could not read further.

I love this book and this author...
I'll start my review by saying I know the author personally. Promising to write a honest review before I read the book had me nervous. Tracy suggested I write it anonymously to relieve any pressure if I hated her first book and wanted to bash her.  It is with great pleasure to report I don't have to do that--Tracy, your books are simply awesome! Your writing drew me in and I had a great time seeing the world through Anabel's eyes. You may regret that I have read your books because now I will dog you to write more and write faster.

    I want to scream!!

This has got to be the most frustrating book I have ever read and I never give a bad review. Too much jumping aroud, too much detail about jibberish, not enough plot. I have forced mysel to read a little more than half way through trying to give it a chance. Not even going to finish it. With that being said, I will add that I always finish a book and find something to like about it. I'm sorry to say, not this time.

    A Blast From The Start

I love the trend of making the first book in a series free. Tracey Ellen is now a favorite. As soon as I finished this one I purchased the next two. This is a well thought out story with highly entertaining characters. It grabs your interest from the start and continues to flow well throughout the entire story. I'm looking forward to continuing in this world.

    Great book

I love a smart ass and Anabel is a non-stop smart ass. The first chapter kinda threw me but I kept reading. I enjoyed the quick wit and banter between all the characters. I read some of the other reviews that other readers are up in arms about the ending. I'm not, I'm ready for the next book to see what happens next. Its a common way to get you hooked and wanting more and I don't fault the author for doing it. We deal with it all the time with series ending cliff hangers so why not with a book. This book has it all a mystery, sex, and yes, love. I will buy the next book too.

    Unexpected greatness!

I read this book after reading the many reviews. If I'm honest, I certainly didn't expect to fall in instant love with Anabel! Seriously, she is the ultimate character; funny, quirky, hilarious and she owns her faults and turns them into assets! The story kept me interested and reading even after my body wanted rest! Overall great read!

    JUST OKAY

This book was just okay. There were cleverly written/exciting parts but it also droned on and on at points. I hated the ending--I'm a sucker for the traditional romance novel ending. This book could've been cut down by 100 pages--almost too much detail.

    Good book

I got this book free. It is a great read. This is the first of a three book series featuring Bel and Luke. I highly recommend all three books.

    Hmmm

Obviously anyone who has left a bad review either has no sense of humor or are way too sensitive I loved everything about this book I at no time lost interest and I hope the author keeps her writing style and ignores the naysayers because she is def a new favorite of mine and I will b buying every book she publishes. It is not often I take time to leave a review but these bad reviews have me smh.

    Left me wanting more.

This was a quick read with a twist at the end that I was not expecting. It left me wanting more. Can't wait to read the other books in the series.

    Witty and fun

I honestly have never written a review but felt the need to do so in this case. I read strictly for pleasure and not to add to my intelligence. I like easy, fun, quick reads that engage my imagination to visualize and also provoke happiness. Due to these tastes, I enjoyed this book. I was taken with the characters and literally laughed out loud many times. I found myself involved so much that I was late for work...reminiscent of Janet E. The storyline was simple enough and for those writing reviews that they were lost...what??... The characters were engaging and heat in the steamy parts balanced with witty writing kept me reading. If only one criticism is the break-in portion. It should have been disclosed earlier and not gone down that road so far. Rape is serious, not funny and certainly not romantic. You almost lost me here....luckily I am not a quitter and pushed thru. Your free book tactic worked on me and I bought the other three. Keep it up!
