Meet the Author

Brooks’ currently lives in the Reno area of Nevada with her husband of 41 years and small black pooch named Shadow.


Boon-docking in the desert, using solar power to juice her laptop and keep the furnace blowing at night is a favorite activity. A little rock hounding is a good excuse to stretch your legs.


In winter, she still subscribes to the ‘Bill Allen fitness program’ which involves dressing warmly, installing chains on her bus tires and handling thousands of pounds of luggage on a regular basis. “What can I say? I hate to admit it, but it keeps me healthy.”


Writing is an escape from BA’s fitness program and a wild adventure that keeps the mind healthy and very active. ADJ is the second novel to be published with The Murder Channel soon to follow. Brooks’ welcomes your comments and question at ckaybrooks.com/blog
