Zombie stories are being done to death ... pun intended. But the WWI setting and the fantastic pacing put A Distortion of the Dead a cut above the rest.

I didn't quite care for it. Not the greatest book in the zombie genre I've ever read.

The setting and time period were perfect for this story. Nice to see a living dead story not set around an apocalypse!
