Sonnets From a Dog's Perspective... Thousands of animals are neglected, lost, abandoned, and abused every day. Some are lucky enough to be rescued from their abusers, but many others meet a far different fate. The struggles these terrified animals face are heartbreaking, and their injuries are incomprehensible. A Dog's Tales and Woes captures the true-life experiences and emotions of dogs the author has encountered throughout her life. Beautifully illustrated, these sonnets will tug at your heartstrings-and make you laugh in recognition of their antics. Hopefully they will encourage you to be a hero for these animals by taking them into your home, becoming a volunteer at a shelter, or making donations. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of this book will be donated to rescue organizations to help support their efforts in raising awareness of the needs of animals who can't speak for themselves. We can all do our part and make a huge difference in the lives of these faithful, loyal, and loving creatures. "She is your friend, your partner, your defender, your dog. You are her life, her love, her leader. She will be yours, faithful and true, to the last beat of her heart. You owe it to her to be worthy of such devotion." ~ Unknown

After reading Cynthia’s book, each sonnet helps you to experience what  dogs are feeling in each scenario.
We, as people, are able to identify what our feelings would be in those experiences…….joy, happiness,
loneliness, fear, hurt, pain, despair, safety, playfulness, questions, etc., and we can clearly see
that dogs feel the same way.  Although I am not a dog owner or dog lover, I am able to better understand
the love of the “good” dog owners for/to their dogs.  If you are not going to love them enough to take care of them
correctly you should not own them. This is a good read for everyone – dog owner or not…..cuz dogs have feelings too!   Althea
