This book is a hard read but only because it is a hard story. Any book about the halicaust is hard for me. Man is the worst beast that walks this earth. Kathy Weekly

I could not finish this book. My apologies to the author, but the details of shooting the ox and the rape of a young girl, plus other detailed violence were very disturbing to me. It is well written and edited and has a smooth flow. If I had not been the first reviewer, I would have given it one star. As I could not finish it, I think three stars is more then fair. Other readers may find this book enjoyable. For adults. Not chick lit. AD
