My Perfect Mistake was the 1st book I've read by Kelly Siskind and absolutely loved it! Immediately bought A Fine Mess which I loved just as much! Can't wait to read Hooked on Trouble next!

4.5* A Fine Mess is anything but a mess. It's a completely delightful story of 2 extremely endearing characters that I have fallen in love with. This book made me so happy! Sawyer and Lily are so perfect together...flaws and all. They remind me of Lily and Randy from Pucked Over, one of my favorite couples ever. Their teasing and flirting, the care they have for each other, the emotions these 2 evoked in me...I adored everything about them and their story. Even though their friendship was so easy, giving and receiving love took a bit more work on both their parts, as they each had to come to term with some deep-seated issues...and at times it was downright difficult. But anything worth having is worth fighting for, and Sawyer and Lily are strong fighters! You couldn't ask for more when it comes to a friends-to-lovers romance...seeing the love between Lily and Sawyer blossom was incredibly sweet and heartfelt, it hit me right in the feels.

Sawyer…I think this is my favorite story yet…Sawyer has so much charm and charisma plus a great sense of humor and a huge heart buried under uncertainty. Sawyer is not “boyfriend” material…he is a cursed man from a family full of infidelity. But Lilly, well Lilly was taboo, she was taken well now she’s not. What was flirty denial is now front and center lust. Sawyer and Lilly both have issues. Lilly has secrets that threaten to destroy it all and Sawyer’s insecurity may just be the demise of something amazing. Plus certain truths come to light making Sawyer’s head spin and begins some bad decision making. From the beach in Belize to Canada these two ride the bumps of attraction, lust, and heartbreak. I love Sawyer. His character is so much fun. Just the fun loving guy that always picks you up when your down and is a great friend when you need him. Jealousy is not a good look for him but it sure is funny! “All I could picture was me spear-launching into the guy, followed by a pile driver or vertical suplex, anything to knock him out cold, my WWE title reclaimed. Because: mine, mine, mine.” This has been my favorite book so far, they keep getting better. I can’t wait for Raven’s book! Sparks are gonna fly!

the second novel in the over the top series, a fine mess actually explores some deeper mental health issues than one expects to in a romance novel. we first met the two leads in my perfect mistake, the delightful first novel of this series which i bought impulsively while rocking my daughter to sleep and then ended up making the poor choice to stay up till 5 reading. it was that good. anyway, so a fine mess has been on my too-read list since then. i enjoyed sawyer and lily a lot in the first novel, since their mutual attraction was obvious and there were also complications worth exploring. one of the things that is nice about the series is that so far each book has it's own personality. sometimes series like these can end up with the books feeling a bit cookie cutter, but that is not the case here. sawyer and lily's story is not the same as kolton and shay's. a fine mess picks up a couple months after the events of my perfect mistake. it's not a requirement to have read the first book to enjoy the second, but in this case it does enhance the reader experience. and even though we know a bit about sawyer and lily given their roles in the first novel, a fine mess really develops their characters and gives them quite a bit of depth. there is a lot of emotional weight here, and this makes sense, especially given the kind of issues both leads struggle with. both sawyer and lily pretend to be well-adjusted. but they both have deep-seated abandonment issues and trauma that expresses itself in different ways. one thing you never really doubt is the fact that they love each other, but you wonder if they will get out of their own way in order to get that happy ending they deserve. they work through a lot of stuff, but it's not doom and gloom. there are light frothy moments too. the characters get to experience joy together, it's how you know they are a perfect match. and when they do have to face painful things, they get through it. not easily, but they do. and i think their journey is so interesting. very much worth the read. **a fine mess will publish on august 2, 2016. i received an advanced reader copy courtesy of netgalley/forever (grand central publishing) in exchange for my honest review.

OH MY GOSH. If you haven't been reading Kelly Siskind's Over the Top series, then you're missing out on a whole lot of fantastic characters, an awesome and hilarious storyline with a touch-your-heart romance, and some majorly hot romance. Now it's Sawyer and Lily's turn to find their happily-ever-after. Sawyer is the bad boy out of the guys. Yep, Sawyer’s the playboy, Mr. One-night-stand, and the class clown all rolled up into one gorgeous, hot body. But mister “take life easy and get all you can” has finally met the woman who knocks him on his behind and has Sawyer begging on his knees. And that woman would be beautiful Lily—who’s quiet, shy, a little bit of an introvert, and has a big heart. She’s also sexy and sweet. After almost a year of Sawyer and Lily wanting each other—having been forbidden to act on their feelings—can finally have each other. And boy, do they ever. Sawyer and Lily are definitely making up for lost time. Those suppressed feelings are making for some hot times. Sawyer and Lily are total opposites, but you know what they say about opposites—they attracted. And yes, do Sawyer and Lily attract. But Sawyer and Lily also have one thing in common: and that's that they both have secrets they’ve hidden from their friends and family. They know those secrets are coming to the surface between them, and that fear causes Sawyer and Lily one heck of problem in their happily-ever-after. I love these two. Sawyer the loud, all-around-fun guys and Lily the quiet, shy, introvert deserve to be loved, to have a romance that sweeps them off their feet, and to win their forever love with each other. But they are going to have to trust each other and get their secrets out in the open for their love to be as hot in their hearts as it is in the bedroom. A Fine Mess is a must read.
