There were no coincidences in life, just fate.
Wow! The story inside the pages of this book were not at all what I was expecting! This was an intensely emotional book full of regrets, sorrow, and pain. This book did a number on my heart... good and bad.
I wanted more, but didn't I have it all minus a white picket fence? From the outside, it looked like I had it all, but on the inside, I had very little. I was empty and unfulfilled. I wanted the epic love I read about. I wanted my dreams to come true like in the movies. I wanted what I had now, but I wanted to feel it.
This book immediately hooked me by the writing style alone as I was taken down a dark journey of reflection. I couldn't put it down and I have the blood shot eyes to prove it. We are introduced to a 32 year old, married, mother of two, named Lennox, who suffers from a lifetime of depression. She is lost and unhappy with her current life and appears to have feelings of remorse about her recent actions, which are not immediately clear. As the story unfolds, we are transported back and forth from past to present. We learn about Lennox's struggles, her pain, the loves of her life, and the path and decisions that led her to where she is.
How could I love two boys so passionately, yet so differently? My heart belonged to one and my soul to another.
What I loved most about this book was the honesty and how real it felt. There wasn't a moment when I didn't feel like I wasn't a part of this story. The characters were well thought out and written. Although I felt a connection with all of them, the main character, Lennox, is a character that I will forever hold close to my heart. I was surprised how much I understood her and could relate to her, and I think anyone who reads this will be able to relate to her in some sense as she tells her story.
I also loved the originality of this book. There are many twists and turns and every time I thought I knew where this story was going... it took a completely different turn. This isn't one of those stories where the character has had a dark past full of abuse and just needs someone to save her. This is an honest depiction of depression and shows an individual's struggle with it from a young age as she tries to live her life as normally as possible.
I would recommend this book to everyone. It's a beautiful story and one of the gems of indie publishing.

Lennox is a troubled woman who struggles with Manic Depression,

Lennox is a troubled woman who struggles with Manic Depression, heartache and years of confusion. Her husband, Dean, is a firefighter who stands by her side when she needs him the most. There are pieces of Lennox that I (along with many others) can relate to. Dani Hart brings us into Lennox’s life when she is at a major changing point. In an age where daring erotic romances are overpowering, this book was a nice change of pace. Not only is it romantically sexy; it has a great plot!

In this story, we get to know Lennox and all of the people in her life. I felt as is if I was experiencing her life with her, helping her make the right decision. Lennox guides us through the past, present and future of her relationships. We learn about her untamed best friend, Kylie, who tests Lennox's boundaries (and I want to smack her most of the time). We meet Dean, her boyfriend/husband, who knows just when Lennox needs him the most (and I want to hug him). Then we meet Braedyn, the tempting reminder from her past ( I want to smack him, hug him and then have dinner with him).

This is a genuinely raw story that will bring you to tears. It isn't very often we get to follow the journey of such a real character. One who struggles with love, loss, children, temptation, death and HONESTY. Painful, gut wrenching honesty!

Once again, Dani Hart impressed me with her words. She writes in such a descriptive fashion; you feel as if you can jump right into the story and live it. From the achingly powerful descriptions of grief to the sweet, seductive words she uses to draw you in, it is an excellent read. Grab your tissues and get prepared to be captured by the unexpected, scorchingly sweet story that is A Firefighter's Flame.

Wow what a story - first and for most be sure you have a box of tissues with you as you will need them.

I really connected with Lennox's while I don't have bi-polar I have suffered on and off with depression
for a number of years so I full related to not wanting to get out of bed and that everything is a struggle.

How to describe this book - well it does have romance a love that starts at 16 that goes though highs and lows that life brings.
It starts with Lennox in about of depression and she begins having flash backs of her journey through life from first meeting
Dean and their relationship until the present.

I highly recommend this book and will definitely read more by this author

I really don't know where to begin except to say that this story

I really don't know where to begin except to say that this story reached inside of me and touched my very soul! It wanted to shatter me into a million little pieces...That's what a struggle with manic, or any kind of depression can & will do to you. I always knew about it..I never felt it until now. This book brought me to my mental knees. I absolutely get it now!
Lennox, and so many others like her just want to give up...many do. Thankfully the love she had for her family was stronger than the pull of darkness she struggled with every day. Even when she felt like there was no coming back, she fought. With every loss, she fought.
I could see what a remarkable woman she is and just wanted to hold her and tell so.
You just have to read it for yourself. The twists & turns, ups & downs, loss and then rekindle of love.
This is one that would be a great movie! Lifetime would have a ball with this!
DO NOT READ until you have a full box of tissues with you at all times.....I don't even know how many times I just burst out in tears. ( thank goodness I was alone) All I can say is, Dani Hart? I salute you! (you know why)

I love me some Dani Hart. But honestly... this woman made me cry

I love me some Dani Hart. But honestly... this woman made me cry with this book. Ugly cry.
Before reading the synopsis I was expecting another good romance novel, but it's so much more than that. it's touching like you wouldn't believe. I don't think there are words to describe how much this book will make you feel. Just be sure to grab a box or two of tissues.
Lennox's pain felt so real, I felt it. Though never having been in a situation such as hers, I felt like I had. This book was a true emotional roller coaster. I loved how you would see her pain, then visit her past through her memories, and feel what she felt then as well. Though never forgetting her current pain. You will not feel for the characters, you will become the characters, and everything will feel like it's happening to you. You will experience Lennox's life, and past, You see how she met and fell in love with her husband, and everything they went through together. Even her friendship with her best friend Kylie.
This book really touched my heart. This is a beautiful heart breakingly wonderful book, and you will be hooked from page 1. I loved the pace of this book. It wasn't fast or slow, it was full of memories, and I didn't feel like I was reading a book but more like I was watching a movie. If I had to put this book in a category, I'm not sure I could. I feel it deserves something unique because everything about it is.

Honestly if I could, I'd give this book a 10 out of 5.

I received a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

Most of the book felt real and raw, more like someone telling me about their life
instead of reading a story. Sometimes that pushed around the border between too much
minutia detail and just enough. And I’ll be honest, this one was a really rough read
through a good chunk of it for me. It was dark and depressing, like holding your
breath underwater until you just about can’t take anymore when something positive
pops your head up enough to get another breath. But I’m glad I stuck with it.

I don’t even have words for the ending, and I’m certainly not going to spoil it for
anyone, but it took a turn I hoped it would, one I wish it hadn’t, and then one that
    was completely unexpected.

I gave this book 5 Stars.

Lennox is a wife, a mother, a best friend. A person who has got lost in her everyday life raising her kids and taking care of life. Her husband Dean is gone a lot because he is a firefighter and he is gone for days at a time. That leaves Lennox in charge of everything and that has had its toll on her life and her marriage. She does still love her husband, but she feels lost and defeated. She also suffers from depression, and all that combined is not a good thing. We go on a journey with her to her past her present and visit the places that bring her comfort and the places that bring her pain. What will her choice be when she is done going on this journey and when she realizes what she does want is it too late to get it?

The story had me captured from the beginning until the end. At times I stopped had to take a deep breath and wonder why am I reading this? But I wanted to know what was going to happen to everyone involved in this heart wrenching story. She talked about her life and how she gets lost in the everyday things and wants to do nothing but sleep and leave the house a mess. And I caught myself relating to her in a way that I have no really related to anyone in any other books. It felt like she was living my life. And I was praying that she did the things that I am not brave enough to do myself. When your in a situation like that you feel defeated and helpless and on top of her depression she felt worse. And I understood her. This was an amazing story that I fell in love with. It felt real and I am so glad I took the time to read this.. Thank you Dani for your story. I look forward to reading more from you. You are a very gifted writer. <3

This is the first Dani Hart book I've read and I'm impressed. I loved Len and Dean and I loved the chemistry between them. Their love story was so sweet and totally made me swoon. I felt that Len's struggles with bipolar disorder were very true to life and I felt very connected to her. I couldn't help but root for her and for her happiness. I love when books are able to draw so much emotion from you and that is exactly what A Firefighter's Flame did. Like I said, this is the first Dani Hart book I've read, but it won't be the last.

Being a beta reader is an honor, but when asked to beta a book in which you become totally consumed from the beginning, is when you realize the author has written something truly amazing. I fell into A Firefighter's Flame hard and fast. I submerged myself into the protagonist's story, enabling every emotion Lennox felt.

Daily life is a struggle for everyone, but when you go through life with the hardships that Lennox faces, it becomes extremely difficult. This novel is a journey of Lennox detailed in a series of flashbacks from her teenage years to the present. At an early age, she meets Dean, and her life instantly changes. Their relationship is rocky, and full of trials, as with many teens. Throughout the course of the novel, we see Lennox challenged with struggles that are not easily swept away. It is when her past collides with her present that we take note of her resiliency.

Ms. Hart has written a wonderful, true-to-life novel. Although the themes are considered dark, she sheds light into the world of a character who I am positive we can all relate to in some way.

Be prepared for an intense ride as you read this novel. It is full of emotion and will hold you until the last word. I cannot wait to read what Ms. Hart has planned next.

I am truly blessed to be asked to Beta read for this book. Dani made her mark as a writer when she first brought out Reality (The Life of Arie), but now she has cemented herself as an Author on the rise with A Firefighter"s Flame. This story is so raw, powerful and emotional, keep your tissues handy! I am looking forward to being able to put a full review in, and can not wait for everyone to read and enjoy this book just as much as I did.

The first 5 or so chapters of this book had me hooked.  It felt like the main character, Lennox, was describing my life in some fashion.  She was completely relatable to me.  Her struggle, depression, guilt, confusion – all of these things had me feeling like Lennox could be my best friend.
Lennox is at a crossroads in her life and has to make a decision.  She takes us through her past, present and into her future.  Lennox met her husband young and feels like maybe her marriage isn’t where she needs to be any longer.  Has she outgrown her marriage or is she just confused by feelings that are conjured up when she sees an old flame?  These are things she has to sort through in order to make her decision on what is next in her life.  What comes next I did not expect.
The only way to describe the writing style of Miss Hart would be romantic.  It becomes more than just words on a page.  She describes in detail how the water feels on her feet or how the breeze cools her skin.  It really takes you to that place and time in the book.  Her writing style has you glued to the pages.
Thank you Miss Hart for this opportunity and bravo on a job well done.
