I have enjoyed the books of this series read to this point but wasn't real thrilled with this one. It was okay but not for a re-read. Too many new characters introduced and it seemed to jump from person to person and place to place....
Heather Long has rocked it again! I love everything she writes, but the Fevered Hearts is my absolute favorite. It's plotlines are completely original and wildly imaginative. The characters are always likeable and the romances are beyond sweet and Buck and Delilah were no exception. I loved the chemistry between them, I loved Buck's faith in her and his willingness to trust her and I loved how Delilah would do anything not to hurt anybody again. I flat out loved them. Then there is Kid, whose storyline is so fantastic, I am seriously chomping at the bit for his story. He truly is something special. My heart was breaking for him and I cannot wait to see his happy ending. He deserves it more than anybody else. Heather Long once again has proved that she deserves a spot among my favorite authors. She is one of those writers everybody should read and I cannot say enough how much I love her. Please, please check her out! I expect readers will be pleasantly surprised and will thank me for the recommendation.
When I read that Heather Long was going to start a new series, Fevered Hearts I was excited. I then read that it was going to mix genres and I was not sure it would work but as a longtime fan I was willing to take a chance. I read Marshal of Hel Dorado and fell in love with the series. Ms. Long is able to mix paranormal and Old West seamlessly. Each book has been a pleasure to read. I can’t seem to get enough of the men and women of this Old West town. The fourth book in the series, A Fist full of Dreams is Buck, the dream walker’s story. I have always had a soft spot for Buck and Delilah is the perfect woman for him. Delilah has her own set of problems but together with the help of Buck’s family they are able to find their way. Of course, the courtship is interrupted by all the changes going on in Dorado and Haven. But in the end love manages to save the day. It is a must read for any fan of either paranormal or Old West romance. Not only will you fall for Buck and Delilah but you will be begging for Kid, Jason and my personal favorite, Wyatt’s stories. I hope the Ms. Long keeps writing these amazing books for a long time.
