    Disappointing

I've read many of Ms. James books and enjoyed them, but not this......

In my opinion, it is too short for all the love scenes packed into it. While I understand this is a staple for the genre, it simply comes across as 'over the top.'

It was good somewhat boring but hey it was free.but for nessa cakes this book had like no sex so i have no idea what book u read....it was far from descriptive at all and they 'made love' i wouldnt pass it off as risque as ur making it sound. Its not like she said 'f***' i dont even think the word vagina waa used. This was beyond vanilla.

    AWFUL!

Don't bother! Plot is lousy and it's not worth the cost -- oops, it's free. Still not worth the cost!

    Short and sweet

For a novella, this story was very good! The beginning was a little slow going but once Tobias came into the scene, the action really took off. The characters were interesting, the plot was fast pase and yet it included many crucial elements of English society, and the ending was sweet. A definite read for anyone looking for a short story and an ending that produces a romantic sigh.

    Way Below Par . . .

I've read many Eloisa James books and this one fell way below par. I am not putting it on my shelf, nor am I archiving it. I'm deleting it.

    Great Little Read

This was a great little read. I love the era it was written in. I've often said I was born and live in the wrong era. I should have grown up in the time when gentlemen were gentlemen and ladies were still ladies. The description of the clothing and the horse drawn carriages, the places they went and the way the spoke, I could almost hear the horses trotting along the brick streets and I could see myself as a spectator, dressed in a long gown with a bustle, watching all the goings on. The men were honorable and the women valued their virginity. I found myself rooting for one of the male leads over the other. The only complaint I have is that it wasn't long enough! I could have easily gone on for another couple hundred pages. Unfortunately, I can't seem to find any more from this author in a Nook version.

    Short & Sweet

I thought the book was quite cute. It was only 70 or so pages, and when I first saw how short it was, I was prepared to be far more harsh in judgment. For what little time the author has to present decent characters and storyline I thought it was done quite well. Now I'm interested to see how a full-sized novel would come together and will be checking out her other works.

    Not Even Out Yet

It is a PRE-ORDER book--doesn't come out until the 26th. If its not out yet, don't put it up B&N.

    Liked it

I enjoyed it. Yes it is a short book, hence the word 'novella' on the cover and in description. It is a freebie so compared to her novels which run $7.99 and up, what do you expect? The story moved along quickly but it was necessary for resolution because once again it was a novella. I liked this authors style enough to purchase more of her work.

    Cute story

A nice cute novella. Not a lot of depth to characters (it is a short story though), but the scenes between the two main characters, Genevieve and Tobias are enjoyable.
