Overview

A New York Times bestselling epic. A blockbuster TV series. And now, George R. R. Martin's breathtaking fantasy masterpiece makes its powerful graphic novel debut-with all the majesty, intrigue, full-blooded adventure, and sweeping, mythic vision that have made it a landmark work of imaginative literature.

Beyond the legendary Wall, the vast battlement that stands between the kingdom of Winterfell and the untamed unknown, something sinister and supernatural is stirring in the frozen wastes. For the lifelong soldiers of the Night's Watch, sworn to protect the realm, it is time to prepare for the nearly endless season of cold and snow that-along with something unspeakable-is closing in. For Eddard Stark, Lord of Winterfell and patriarch of a fierce and stoic clan, it is time to greet his king . . . and make ready for whatever destiny holds in store. For an arrogant young prince, it is time to reclaim his lost throne, by bartering his innocent sister to be a savage warlord's bride. And for a princess bound for a strange and brutal realm, it is time to begin a journey of transformation from daughter to wife to queen. All across the Seven Kingdoms, the wheels of tumultuous, life-changing history have begun to turn.

While this graphic novel was really good and was well adapted... I paid five bucks for 30 pages. Not a good bang for your bucket...

Reading the first book for the first time on my nook tablet. As I can read a grapic novel faster I waited until I read about 200 pages through as to not spoil anything before I read the graphic novel. I love the artists depiction of Jon Snow, and Ghost his albino direwolf. ( As if fans of the series wouldn't have known that!. ) Haven't purchased the HBO series to compare all three in one article and post all three. Eh oh well not people prolly thinks this helps any way. The comic follows the story very well. Cannot wait for the hard covet

Others commented that it was too short... its the same as the paper version, and its two bucks less. It was well adapted from a combo of the book and show, and it fits perfect on the nook screen. Well done, I say!

32 pages? Really. There certainly is a learning curve with purchasing materials for my nook. While I agree that the pages that were there were well done & followed the book, I did not get much value for my money. I also think the length of the book should be in the description. You can't even tell if you buy the sample. You have to commit before you find out how little you get for the money. The good news, I won't be making this mistake again.
