A fast-paced read that doesn't overlook the fact that romance and love aren't always easy. The relationship between James and Neka has an awkwardness that feels natural, given the circumstances of their story. The author takes time to create an inspirational Christian romance that matches reality. You can't help but root for Neka. She's such a sweet girl and a true Christian at heart. James, at first, seems like he only has his best interests at heart, until it comes to Neka. Will she be the girl that can change his ways and show him what's really important in life? All and all, it's a wonderful read that's hard to put down once you get started. Can't wait to see more from this author.

This book by E. C. Jackson held my attention from the beginning until the end. Neka and James' characters came  alive in the first chapter and then captivated me throughout the story. It felt like I knew them personally and  enjoyed every twist and turn they took. The supporting characters came across just as real as James and Neka, Encore! Can't wait until the next book. And if a movie is made, the models on the cover must play the parts.

Neka was always an outcast; understood and befriended by no one but her family. She loved her family dearly but still felt the ache of loneliness and hoping for more. James wasn't as lucky as Neka in the family department. His brothers didn't support him, they wanted to destroy him. Doing everything he could to prove them wrong he built himself a successful business but sacrificed himself in the process. The only real friend she had was James-the man who was always there for her no matter what. One day she overhears a plot against him and is determined to help him however she can. But the road to hell is paved with good intentions, and her actions set things in motion that will change the lives of everyone she loves. Is God leading her? Or is she just choosing to think so? She will need to know the answers soon...because the future of both families hang in the balance. E.C. Jackson brings the difficulties of blending two lives with different personalities and beliefs together to life in a real and natural way that will entertain anyone. A Gateway To Hope is a book that is beautifully written with details and characters that bring the story to life. The first page draws you into the story, but each page after pulls you in farther. The tone is set in the beginning and Jackson doesn't slow down after that; each page lives up to the pages before it and makes you not want to put the book down. James and Neka (as well as the rest of the characters) are fully developed, believable, and relatable. You understand them and feel for them almost immediately as they try desperately to blend two lives together while facing problems from all sides. This is done easily and very realistically, and that makes an already good book even better. I had a hard time putting this book down once I started reading it. Jackson let's you see and experience everything clearly; making you forget that you're reading a book. You become a part of the book instead of just a reader. She also handles the descriptions perfectly-enough to bring it to life but not too much that it slows down or distracts from the story. This is a book everyone will love. You will fall in love with the people you meet, and they will stay with you even after you're finished with the book.

I found this book impossible to put down until I finished reading. The style of writing puts the reader right in the middle of the action. I look forward to reading her next novel.

Ladies, would you marry a rich friend in order for them to receive their money despite them not loving you? Men, would you marry a woman you don't truly love? These questions are put to the test in this heart warming novel. For a debut novel, E.C. Jackson wrote it as if she has written many other best-selling novels before this one. The story is solid while the characters hold you in their grasp, not releasing you till the very end. This novel proves that love and truth prevails in the end! There are so many great things about this novel that it's hard to talk about it without spoiling everything. If you are looking for a novel about relationships without the x-rated details, this is the one for you! It keeps you engaged and wanting more to the end!

I love books like this one and it was one of the best romance novels I have read. It has mystery and intrigue and kept me glued to it. Neka and James are a great couple, so engaging and deep. The strength and passion between them touched me. Can they grasp the love they really feel or pretend they are just comfortable? Neka is a beautiful soul and I love her.  The other characters added so much and truly made this a delightful read. Attention to details is wonderful and allowed me to become part of the book. It is very well written with a flow of perfection and I could not stop reading it. E.C. Jackson has certainly captured my attention and I will be looking for more of her work. I love her style and mind and such a lovely imagination. I can not wait to read more. I recommend this book to everyone; it is high up on my list of favorites.

The Gateway to Hope is an incredibly well-written novel about love and the obstacles through it. The story involves the characters jumping through some hoops–like Neka’s seemingly unrequited love for James–and because of that, readers feel compelled to read on right from the beginning. I found the characters in The Gateway to Hope to be very well-rounded, with faults and quirks of their own. This adds an extra layer of realism to the story, and makes the characters really relatable. I also love how love and idea of love in this story are not based on physical relationships it is purely the connection between two characters, and that makes the relationship flow smoothly along in the story. Overall, the Gateway to Hope is a brilliantly spun debut novel by E.C Jackson.

A Gateway to Hope by E. C. Jackson is a beautiful story about a Christian girl that is to quiet for anyone to noticed, including her family. One day she does something out of character for her and leave town for two weeks with out telling her family before hand. Why you wonder? She is going to become engage with the guy she is in-love with to help him get his position back in his father dominion business. It all work perfectly until the get back to town and his other girlfriends try to get him back. This book is about faith in Gods plans for us and open mind to fallow his ways. The main character is a religious girl and small passages in the bible are quoted in a few place throughout the story. Even so there isn’t a lot of preaching in this book just a pleasant remainder of how we can have a better life if we listen to God and let Him help us. A Gateway to Hope is a nice pace story that will help you feel great and you will be rotting for both main characters. It has great moral values that need to be share more often in romances. This is a simple and clean romance tale for all to enjoy without reserve. A Gateway to Hope by E. C. Jackson is a great reading material and a well-done book. Happy readings.

I woke up early this morning to finish reading this book. Once I started reading it I couldn't put it down. I enjoyed watching the life of Neka and James unfold as if we were friends or I was a fly on the wall. Once I closed this book, I wanted to opened the next. I looked forward to E. C. Jackson's next book. Thanks for a good read.

This book came highly recommended and lived up to the praise. It depicted life in a modern society. Real life relationships came to mind as I read. I felt the hope of Neka and the angst of James as they tried to come to terms with their choices. Plus, protect themselves from future hurts. The rest of the characters reminded me of how we allow other's opinions to shape our destiny.
