Having finished the Kindle version of this amazing book, I can honestly say I am a better person for reading it! It was as if I was in India with her. Josie was one of the first people my family met when we moved upstate and I had no idea she was going through all she was going through. She is a woman of dignity and grace, and her journey has helped all of us with ours. Have recommended this book to many people! WELL DONE GIUSEPPA!

I read this book “A Gift of My Own” and took the journey with Josie. I felt as if I was right there with her- experiencing all of her thoughts, feelings, and emotions as if they were mine. Her writing style lets you become one with her. Her struggles in life become your struggles. Her contemplations become your contemplations. Her feelings of joy, sadness, frustration, disbelief become your feelings. Her spiritual journey becomes your spiritual journey.

I have never been a spiritual person but this book has opened my eyes. Josie’s faith is strong and she lets God take the lead- to lead and guide her through some harsh and distressing events in her life. Josie never gives up and puts all of her trust in God. The end result is one that will amaze and inspire you.

I highly recommend that you experience with journey with Josie. It’s an enlightening and eye opening experience. This book will have you thinking… Should I give God the power to lead me in my own life? What does God have in store for me?

    A Definite Must-Read!

Throughout this book, the author takes us on an oftentimes rewarding and oftentimes difficult and painful journey on her own road to spiritual enlightenment. It was a pleasure to be a guest on this jourey, and reading the book felt like I was standing right next to the main character, Josie ~ seeing things just as she saw them herself. The emotions the author experienced through various situations on this life journey were briliantlly and seemingly effortlessly transferred to the reader. The author lays out her story for all to see, and for all to experience. She holds back nothing painful, ugly or difficult. The sense of humor the author exhibited was unique and a joy to experience. I was actually rooting for her several times outloud to myself while reading this bood! This story is not only Josie's truth. Much of it is the truth of countless other human beings who are on their own spiritual journey of sorts, sharing similar struggles, similar joys, and similar challenges and experiences. Thank you for sharing my friend, Giuseppa!

    Inspiring and engaging

Loved this book ¿it was engaging, heart-warming, thought-provoking and inspirational! The reader is taken on an emotional journey from the six-year-old Josie tearfully saying goodbye to her grandparents in Italy as she leaves on the boat to immigrate to America, never to see them again, to a village in India where she was instrumental in starting a school for children who had never been in a classroom. Her deep spirituality is reflected in her compassion for others and willingness to take risks. You can see how one person really can make a difference in the world! I¿m giving the book to family and friends for a holiday gift. Suzanne
