Great story! This was a very well written and interesting story. Imagine living in an era where steam machines are in use, but more complex than in our own history. Now imagine a corporation that will stop at nothing to make sure all important new machines are owned by them. The main character has invented a machine that is truly innovative and his partner wants to sell out, but he does not. After a long week all he wants to do is enjoy a good bowl of ramen, but will he get to? I'm glad I gave this a chance. It's definitely worth the time to read it and the space on your nook. I'm hoping the author will write more stories about this world - I'd happily pay for sequels!

Ok story! The society where the story take place is not very well developed. The story is now very believable from an engineering aspect. One of the characters is a robot run by a clock spring. No matter how many gears and springs you use you can not make a thinking decision making machine that walks.

I liked some of the characters but the story lacked substance

Took way too long to tell a boring story about nothing.
