All Music Guide - Gregory Heaney
Marco Beltrami, who also composed the score for Live Free or Die Hard, returns with the soundtrack of the action series' fifth installment, A Good Day to Die Hard. As the series and the exploits of John McClane have grown more epic, so too has the background music, with Beltrami delivering a score that captures the larger-than-life exploits of a cop who has gone from a fish out of water to the biggest shark in the sea. While "Ode to Joy" (not featured here) will always be the iconic song of the franchise, the score for A Good Day to Die Hard definitely feels like it's adapted to the series' change in scope.
