I found this book to provide a wonderful portrayal of family relationships and values. These are the backdrop of the two most significant features of this book. First, page after page one beholds "a heart to serve" in the training for and the practice of medicine and specialities which is patient-centered. And Dr. Frist shares his insights and perspectives on the burning issues in health care in the U.S.A., with personal observation of the health care system in Great Britain and personal practice ot medicine in Africa. Second, as an outgrowth of his university training not only in medicine but also public policy, Dr. Frist demonstrates the desirability and value of "citizen legislators" in distinction from the common, long-term career politicians, and lays out critical ramifications. Was this review helpful?
