A History of Early Christianity with Paul's Letter to the Romans [NOOK Book]

Overview

One great paradox of Christianity is over the centuries it's changed a billion times yet in the Orthodox view still remains the same! Overview

One great paradox of Christianity is over the centuries it's changed a billion times yet in the Orthodox view still remains the same! In a Liberal view I show that Christianity was meant more for people of their time not ours as the religion has fallen short of its original promises. I also compare it to other contemporary religions--Egyptian, Babylonian, Zoroastrian and Judaism, and the mystery religions which were very popular with the Roman armies.
This book talks at length about Jesus and who he was or wasn't and the 12 Letters of Paul/Pauline school which were meant for the early experimental pagan 'churches' with Jesus as the supposedly new messiah who never showed up to fight for Israel or the new "Christians".
More importantly is this book isn't just my opinion but through 100's of scholarly, historical and philosophic references.

Meet the Author

I've lived in 6 states but mainly grew up in Midwest, moved to California in 70's, studied psychology and education at 3 different colleges/university. Prior Christian for 15 years but its doctrine left me cold, confused and angry...Didn't give up on God however as I made the jump 'backwards' to Judaism which is a lot more intelligent religion.
