    Way too short.

It had the makings of a good story, but it was entirely too short.

ok - but a very short story.

I have always enjoyed Lori Copeland's book and this one did look interesting. Unfortunately, the story is very short.

    Good story

I enjoyed the story but it was way too short and it almost seemed like and easy plot. There was not enough struggle. But still a good read.

Highly Recommended! Must read before the rest of the Amish of Apple Grove series.

As the preface to the group of books that Lori has written about The Amish of Apple Grove, this book is endearing and gives the background for the series. Lori is a Christian author and that alone is worth it all. But in addition to that, she tells her stories with background information that takes time and effort to dig up and document. This book is the start of the Amish family she writes about in her Apple Grove series. It tells of how Jonas and his wife get their start in married life.
