I was a fool for love until I feel in love with a fool. I'll confess to that. I'll even confess to having a habitually lying husband with an adulterous past and multiple shady dealings with a money laundering and prostitution cartel. But I draw line when federal agents using questionable interrogation tactics try to fool me, Crystal Calloway, into confessing I murdered popular runway model and Mount Caramel Baptist Church parishioner Evelyn James. Evelyn had no business having sex with my teenage son, Shelton. Shelton was and will always be my baby, and when I killed Evelyn that night, I had no idea she was pregnant with his.

S. James Guitard has defined himself as a writer with his latest novel, A HOT MESS! Set in the fictional Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, The author takes on adultery, corruption, murder, and various other scandals with the finesse of a preacher while managing to provide enough hilarious comic relief to keep the reader interested from sentence to sentence. Guitard delivers his message without preaching to his readers, a feat that is often hard to accomplish. EKG Literary Magazine gives A HOT MESS 5 stars for its edge of your seat suspense, its hilarious dialogue, and its ultimate message: God will see you through any situation if only you believe! OMG! I wish I could get a refund! This is the sequel to Delilah's Revenge. This author has great potential, however he needs to learn how to end a story. The story line went on and on and then nothing. It ended abruptly with no complete ending. Who ever gave this a glowing review was either sipping on something or got this one confused with another book! What a waste of time.
