Elijah Reynolds is the most dominant of lycans, a rare Alpha whose skill on the hunt is surpassed only by his primal sexuality. When the lycans revolt due to the iron fist of angelic rule, he steps into command, becoming both enemy and coveted ally in the conflict between vampires and angels.
Vashti is the second most powerful vampire in the world, a lethal beauty with a path of devastation in her wake. Tasked with proposing an alliance between vampires and the lycans who killed her mate, Vash approaches Elijah, whose need to avenge a friend demands Vash’s death even as his passion demands her surrender.
Soon, their enmity erodes beneath an all-consuming desire. Elijah has never encountered a woman whose warrior spirit and fierce sexual appetite rivals his own, while Vash is faced with the one man strong enough to be her equal. But as war looms, each must decide where their loyalty lies—with their own kind or with the enemy lover they can no longer live without.

I received a complimentary copy of "A Hunger so Wild" through Netgalley from the publisher for a honest review.
May I just say...I think I about fainted when I saw this book post to Netgalley. I feel like I was waiting forever for July to get here and when I got a early copy of this book...I literally screamed. My hubby and oldest daughter were probably pondering if they should call a mental ward or not.
I knew I would love this book too, once I started reading it. It's on Elijah! If you've the read the first book, you know who Elijah is...if you haven't read the first book, what are you waiting for?
Elijah has left the Sentinels and now is running the pack of Lycans as Alpha. He's the best for the job. He never thought, he would end up hooking up with the Vampires though to find out what's going on with the vampires and why some are coming down with a disease that makes them go crazy, basically. (these crazy vamps...are wraiths) Elijah, also never expected to have the second most powerful vampire approach him for his help.
Vashti is one serious, deadly vampire that no one wants to mess with. She is still out for revenge on her mate that was killed years ago. She knows it was a bunch of lycans, but she needs Elijah's help to find which ones did it.
Who would thought though a lycan and vampire would end up hooking up? Elijah and Vashti have tried everything to not show their feelings of each other, but for some reason Vasti can not resist Elijah and his sexy lycan charms. (I should say "puppy" though) =)
Elijah can't resist Vashti due to her domineering ways and of course the way she dresses.
I won't go any further because I'll give too much away. This book had a lot of story to it.
My thoughts on the second book to the Renegade Angels series...is Syliva Day did an amazing job building up the suspense even more in this book. It had a back story and a main story going on at the same time. I got to read about Lindsay and Adrian again and what they are dealing with. I also got to see Syre in action too...who is the first most powerful vampire.
I loved the steaminess between Elijah and Vashti. I actually was kind of skeptical on them getting together at first though since I remember how Vashti was in the first book. She is one cold-hearted, mean vampire. I definitely never want to mess with her.
Elijah...I think I'm in love with him. No...I know I'm in love with him because I fell in love with him in the previous book. He stole my heart even more in this book.
Sylvia definitely had me hooked from beginning to end...especially, the ending. Dang you, Sylvia...you left me hanging. It was an amazing cliff-hanger though.
I recommend this book to readers who love the paranormal romance genre and who love a different take on angels, lycans, and vampires. This definitely is WAY different than other books out there.
This book will have you wanting more....but forewarning...you will be left wanting even more at the end. =)

I loved this book even better than the first. Who doesn't love strong-alfa males, who can kick butt and look good doing it? the only reason I'm giving it 4 stars is there is almost no resolution at the end, which is irritating. Was this review helpful? Elijah was one of my favorite characters in A Touch of Crimson, and he proves he is one awesome, sexy hero in A Hunger So Wild. The werewolves have rebelled against their angel masters and Elijah is the alpha that is thrust into the leadership role whether he likes it or not. Despite the fact that he did not want to rebel, he recognizes that his people need a strong leader or disaster will result.
In addition to making the werewolves primary players in the game, A Hunger So Wild shows us more of the vampires' angle on this story. The bad guys in book 1 prove to be merely 'human' in book two. Vashti is the prime example of this, but you also get to see another side of Sire. I really liked seeing this story told from the other side of the fence.
When the werewolves and vampires form an alliance, bitter enemies Vashti and Elijah must work together for the good of both their peoples. But what begins as hatred soon changes to passion. Really intense, hot passion!
If you think things were getting interesting at the end of book 1 in the Renegade Angels series, wait until you get to the end of book 2! This story is non-stop action. The vampire wraith virus is raging. While the wraiths are wiping out entire communities, the race is on to cure it or eradicate it.
Both angels and vampires are studying the virus, trying to figure out where it came from and why it was unleashed! What they find is a cruel, complicated plot that leads to more questions than answers. Some of the explosive information uncovered is potentially a game changer in the angel/vampire conflict.
I really liked this book, but was disappointed that almost NOTHING was resolved at the end of the story. If this had been a 2.99 book, maybe I would not mind so much. These books need warnings on them! I am frustrated with the inability of many authors to tell a complete story within 400 pages or less. Yes, they want to sell books, but really! An author that has any talent, and I believe Ms. Day is very talented, should be able to a) tell a complete story AND b) keep the reader coming back for more.

I loved the book although at the end it said the 3rd should have come out in February...it's September and I have yet to see the third book. I'm anxiously waiting. Although I was hoping to have started the 3rd this series is fantastic. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.

Moveover Jacob (twilight) and Alcide (trueblood), there's a new lycan in town, he goes by El, short for Elijah, he is loyal to a fault, no nonsence, caring, true Alpha male, in all forms! This book was filled with adventure, with everyone finding out a little more of themselves. I guess its true you can't help who you love. The very people you spent your life work hating/hunting, could be the one you........try this series, you won't be disappointed! Caution, its a series, can't wait for the next one.Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.
